NCAA13 DVDTalk Teambuilder Dynasty(PS3)
We have started our first year of Dynasties using NCAA Football 2013. I will be running 2 Dynasties (and I will not be starting a new thread) the already existing Teambuilder dynasty and the Big Boy dynasty. The Big Boy Dynasty will have no teams moved around until the 2013 season when we will reflect the next round of real life conference changes. In the Teambuilder dynasty we will setup to have 2 divisions and a Conference Championship game.
TEAM BUILDER DYNASTY:
Congratulations to CruzChaos' STETSON HATTERS for Winning the 2014 MAC title and the 2014 BCS Championship
Congratulations to nic44's INDIANA UNIVERSITY of PENNSYLVANIA RED HAWKS for Winning the 2014 Conference USA title.
BIG BOY DYNASTY:
Congratulations to FLhype's OKLAHOMA SOONERS for Winning the 2013 BIG12 title and the 2013 BCS Championship

Re: NCAA13 DVDTalk Teambuilder Dynasty(PS3)
WHY BUILD A TEAM - SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER
The EXISTING schools that are being used range from an overall score of 60-73 and all of their recruiting pitches are D- thru C+ (mostly D's)and they may have a player or 2 that are above an 85 Overall rating however they also have lots players 65 and below.
Creating a school this way creates a school that will be a 64-66 overall. You will have 2 A pitches 2 B pitch 2 C pitches and 3 D pitches and you will have no players below a 62/63. Also remember you are picking Your school and the state it is in along with the stadium.
***TEAMBUILDER GUIDELINES ***
The idea behind building the team is that you will be starting a new BCS 1A program from the ground up.
First thing you need to do is make sure you are logged in to EA sports Teambuilder website.
Next pick a school:
School Name- Your school name can be selected from the list below. If there are other schools you would like to use let me know:
Nickname- Should be the real nickname for your chosen school.
School Short Name- If your schools name won't fit in the box. Please abbreviate the name the way the school does.
City & State- Use the city and state that your school is located in.
Coaches - We will pick coaches based on fired former coaches. Each coach will give a position bonus based on their real life experience.
i.e. - if you plan on using Curt Cignetti as your head coach your bonus will be +5 to all WRs (based on his history as a wide Receivers coach). That means your best WR will be a 75 overall, your 2nd best is 74 overall, etc.....
Here's a list of coaches and bonuses for everyone to consider
If there are any other coaches anyone would like to use let me know and I may consider them
Once a coach is selected he is off the board
Stadium - Your team shold be playing in a mid to high capacity stadium ideally somewhere with seating of 40-65K. The nearest Pro stadium would be ideal. I'll provide a list to help you guys out.
STADIUM SUGGESTIONS
School Type- School type must be FBS (1-A)
Year- The year must be the same as the year of the game you are playing. (ex: NCAA 13 = 2013)
School Prestige- Everyone starts with 1 star.
LOGO
One logo must be the actual school logo the other must be the conference logo.
First you will need to find your schools logo on the web by googling it for you primary logo, then upload it on to the Team Builder website.
Second you will need to upload the MAC logo for your secondary logo. If a school has a secondary logo we can make an exception, otherwise use a MAC logo.
.
Stadium - Refer back to the stadium name part of STEP TWO.
You will get the name of the stadium your team will play in and you will also find the stadium to pick from the list on the Team Builder Site.
Field -Field layout must be as follow. The 50 yard line logo must be your schools primary logo set at the largest size (use the slider ) and the two sideline logos must be the conference logo or your secondary logo . End zones can have your teams nickname, school name, or nothing on each end of the field
Uniform - The Primary logo and Team colors should be dominant on the Primary Home and Away uniforms. Alt uniforms can use whatever colors and logos you want. If you are using a conference logo it should be on the right thigh, right upper chest or the right shoulder. only one is needed.
Mascot - Whatever you want
Program - Your team must be 1 star prestige and may have the following recruiting pitches: 2 A's, 2 B's, 2 C's, and 3 D's. One of each of those must be a minus.
Pro Factory, Television Exposure, and Championship Contender must be the 3 D's.
Coach Prestige must be one of the two A's.
Quick roster guide
Try to use a team template that may be similar to your team style but realize if you try to copy Alabama you will have far more editing to do than other weaker teams. This will also give you the appropriate number of players for your positions. You can make the majority of the players on your rosters freshman. You must have a minimum of 5 sophomores and 5 juniors. The rating scale is as follows: the best player at every position will be rated at a 70 overall (not counting any add-ons), then the second best player at every position will be rated at a 69 overall and the rating's go down by one with every player down. This means every position. LT, RT. RG, C, etc... are all counted as seperate positions.
When you are editing players any stats that have nothing to do with a player position should be set to 40. i.e. A running back would have defensive stats that would = 40. This way there is no sneaking ringers onto your team that play another position. Plus it makes it easier for me to review rosters before we begin the Dynasty.
Remember you are allowed one player at any position who will be a star player and can have a max overall of 80.
here are the guidelines I will use for limits on players

Re: NCAA13 DVDTalk Teambuilder Dynasty(PS3)
You list 7 grades for recruiting, i.e. 2 A pitches one e B pitch 2 C pitches and 2 D. There are 9 areas. Which ones are untouchable/assigned by you? Also, the Star player, do they get a +5 making them an 85 or are they an 80, period and then the next one is 75 on down?

Star player is eighty period. technically the next on down would be a 74.

Re: NCAA13 DVDTalk Teambuilder Dynasty(PS3)
Gonna need some more guidelines on the players. Here is my impression:
As long as the stats that don't pertain to the player are at 40, it doesn't matter what the rest are, provided we keep their overall at the proper stat? Or, is there a peak stat value within as well and then we keep to the overall?
I figure a QB would have stats in throwing and ballcarrier, a RB in ballcarrier and receiving, and a WR the same, possibly?
There are just too many variables. I would be happy to play around more, but, I figure you had a set structure in mind.

Re: NCAA13 DVDTalk Teambuilder Dynasty(PS3)
Pretty much if you are using a team as a template most of these things will not be gamebreaking. It will be the cheaters who will test things. I've posted the majority of things I will put in place in the third post and I do have some player specific ratings I will be looking for which I will post. Before we start the dynasty I will have you guys PM me a link to your teams for a final approval.

Log into Teambuilder. in the upper right hand corner the should be a link that says My Schools. Click on it and let it load up. Your teams(up to 12) should pop up. If you select the team and let it load up there should be a tab that lets you edit.

Re: NCAA13 DVDTalk Teambuilder Dynasty(PS3)
What I'm saying is there isn't a particular blueprint we edit from the beginning... right? Because I'm not going to be able to search for Oakland... because you know, they're not really in the game. We just start the build a team thing, go through the logo/jersey/mascot/field stuff and then work on the players on the roster. I assume by selecting one of the lesser teams as a template? So like I create Oakland and then use someone like Central Michigan as a template. yes?

Pro Factory, Television Exposure, and Championship Contender must be the 3 D's.
Coach Prestige must be one of the two A's.
