Well Bummer. I had to work and missed the fun.

I did pick up

Carlos
Le Cercle Rouge
Shallow Grave

Came out to about 64 after tax. Used the 15% off coupon for highest title using visa card.

I missed out and now I don't really want to order any because I'm only finding 3 I want and I would have gotten one for free.

am getting jittery cos scheduled to ship email don't necessarily mean 'shipped'. knowing BN, they could just cancel orders without an email notification.

Yeah, I don't know what to expect here either as I've never had the opportunity to place orders while the other sale was still going on until now. I'm sure they got a large amount of orders, and I routinely have shipments ship out later than they claim they will so I'm not ready to panic yet.

I hate that I missed out on the stacking sales! I guess it's just as well, though, since I'm pretty much completely broke right now. In all likelihood, I'm going to be forced to sit this sale out unless one of my job prospects comes through soon, and it really pains me to say that because I always look forward to this sale.

Quick turnaround. Just ordered 4 and they're already shipping today. Wish I got in on the B2G1F, but oh well.

Picked up: La Haine, Belle De Jour, Shallow Grave, and Being John Malkovich

Thanks for the clarification and a big Thanks for all of the hard work you do to keep the rest of us informed!

I am in the same boat. One positive development is that all my orders show "cannot be removed" next to each title, so.........

True, but more likely, it indicates the orders have been sent to the warehouse floor for pick & pack.

Thanks for the heads up on this. Picked up the Samurai Trilogy and Stagecoach. Also thanks for mentioning the B&N coupon thread...got an extra 15% off Samurai Trilogy. Only wish I had caught this in time for the 3-for-2 stacking.

The $8 off should work for the Samurai Trilogy, right?

... or has BN been cracking down on the new member coupons? I skipped out on the last couple of Criterion sales, so I'm a bit behind on news.

It depends. The price is currently under $40 so don't be surprised if they reject it for that reason. But's it's always worth trying.

Ok. Its normally $70, currently $35 (half price). It does have the notes on the coupon about being B&N Selling price of $40 - before taxes and discounts including member discount.

Does anyone know if regular or current members can use the new member coupons? I was wondering if it was worth a try or if I am SOL on this.

You should have no problems with the printed coupons in-store. At dotcom, they are one-timers.

Just got a call from the Fraud department at my credit card. I don't understand what is so suspicious about 10 consecutive charges an the same online merchant, each for the same amount, just before 1 AM.

wish I read this thread more carefully. Not a huge Criterion guy, but there were 3 I really wanted. Why is the price for by B2's 18.74 instead of 19.99? I guess it doesn't matter now anyway ...

That's the discount break down from using a $5 coupon on the order. I have a similar 6 title order and B&N broke the coupon discount into $1.25 increments on four titles instead of just subtracting the $5 off the whole order.
