Looks like this is going straight to video, releasing this week.

I loved this. Had no idea what it was about and was pleasantly surprised.
It's not a horror movie though. Not at all.
And it has nothing to do with the Slender Man. Not at all.
The Tall Man is a terrible title.

Is it at least about a man with a small pot belly? As long as his face is slender, a pot belly wouldn't bother me.

note: everyone who has made a joke in this thread has failed. I think you all should try a little harder because some of the posters are usually pretty funny people.

I'm curious, but I also know the twist, and it sounds horrible. But I'd eat Biel's ass like it was my last meal on earth, so I suppose watching it can't be all that bad.

THE TALL MAN is an interesting film, in the sense that I'd rate it a clear thumbs up on first-time viewing, but I'm fairly certain I'd rate it a decided thumbs down for any subsequent viewings.
I'd label the film as a mystery/suspense film with horror-film window dressing (at least for the first half)...or perhaps more succinctly...a dark fairytale. I suspect most will figure out the answer to the mystery aspect somewhere around midway, still that doesn't mean I found the movie any less interesting as it played out. And I do think the movie would make for nice post-film discussion. The director - Pascal Laugier - I thought did a nice job in terms of technical values...it's a solid B-movie type entry.
Getting back to my opening remark, I think the issue of storytelling cheats and/or implausibilities would trouble me on any second viewing. Since I didn't know what to expect the first-time through, everything pretty much worked for me, and any sort of cheat, questionable logic, implausiblity that the film might have contained didn't seem apparent on first viewing. But I suspect any future viewing will not be so kind in terms of my verdict on this movie.
Actually, there is one deleted scene on the Blu-ray, and I am glad they cut it out of the film. If it had been in the film, it would have been too strong a cheat (or playing unfair with me as a viewer), that I couldn't have forgiven it as the story played out in the second half...if that scene had been included I would have rated this film a thumbs down even on only the first viewing.
