I don't want to watch The Artist
I'm into arty movies. I have no problem with silent movies--I've watched every silent Hitchcock and many classics. I didn't like the CBS Sunday Morning segment that I saw before the movie came out. I don't llike the coming attractions or DVD TV commercials. I don't like that apparently the dog barks. I don't like that something is said out loud at the end. I don't find her sleeve romance funny nor interesting.
Winning the best picture Academy Award made me feel my negative feelings for it were correct. Is there some reason I should watch this?

It is absolutely worth watching. Those things you mentioned are handled absolutely perfectly.
I rarely see movies in theaters, less than 6 a year I'd say, and this was one I'm very glad to have seen in a theater.

The trailers and the promotion just didn't do anything for me. Maybe one day I'll end up watching it on cable or something, but I won't be going out of my way to see it.

I don't want to watch The Artist either, but if I started a thread for every movie I didn't want to watch....well. No need to finish that sentence.

Alright, we're getting seriously invested here for some reason: are you going to watch the damn movie or not?
