This show gets no loving here, but season two was even better than season one with many memorable episodes.

Couldn't agree more. I'm an episode or two behind but this season has been way better. Hopefully more people give it a watch.

Given that the historical Pope didn't die until the following century I'm fairly certain that we have not seen the last of Jeremy Irons yet.

With Jaun, it was a bit sad that nobody else shed a single tear for him, but given how much of an utter dick/douchebag he's been on this show it was not too surprising...

I almost gave up on this show during season 1 (I called it The Bore-gias). But season 2 has been rock-solid in my book; outside Mad Men, this was my most anticipated show on Sunday nights.

Legally, Nope Unless your cable provider supports ShowtimeAnytime.com (only AT&T and Verizon support it right now)

The taster getting poisoned to the same, if not worse, degree (and the poison working at the same time) as the Pope made no sense to me.

But a very entertaining season.

He had a higher degree of tolerance, but he also drank a lot more. Most likely he was trying to hide the symptoms as long as could. In contrast, Jeremy Irons only had a small drink.

It went the way that Della Rovere, and I, thought it would go.

This reminds me of something I've often wondered about with regards to food tasters...

...are there no slow-acting poisons available?
