Any love for "I'm In You" by Peter Frampton?

This was Peter Frampton's highest-charting single - peaked at #2 for three weeks in 1977. I didn't realize that Mick Jagger provided backing vocals to this song, and Stevie Wonder played Synthesizer.

........
Or, are you simply (if at all) a fan only of his 1976 monster live album, Frampton Comes Alive?

No that's pretty much where most people got off the bus. I don't think any 70s superstar murdered their career in a more drastic way than this except maybe when Elton John recorded a disco album.

Let's start a new thread. Albums that killed rock stars careers.

Not a big fan of this album or the one that followed it - Where I Should Be - so much, either. Overall, it was an weak follow-up to the buzz built up with Frampton Comes Alive!. As is often the case when one has a mega selling album, the pressure to repeat that success can be extremely hard to live up to. He went from FCA!, to this record, to the dreadful Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie and soundtrack, to suffering a near-fatal auto accident all within the course of two years. Add into that the backlash that often comes with any mega-stardom, and it's amazing he didn't have more of a downward spiral than he went through.

However, I've pretty much liked everything he's done since the beginning of the 80's - in particular Breaking All The Rules and Art of Control, which were both very much overlooked albums. The title track of the former is one of the most rocking songs Frampton has ever done, and ranks among my favorites by him.
