Opinions/Experience with Hitachi TVs

I have been researching TV's, I am looking for the best 32-36in TV for the money, under $1500.00. I have just about decided on Sony or JVC until I was talkin with my dad who has access to a military Post Exchange. My dad brought me the sales ad with an Hitachi 32in 32ux01s for 599.00. I would appreciate any information good/bad on experience with this model or Hitachi TVs.

I have had my Hitachi 31" for 10 years and the picture is still rock solid. The blacks are black and not grey. You really can't go wrong with any of those choices of manufactures. I would buy Hitachi again and I recommend it to anyone. I didn't mention my TV has made it through about 10 moves since then and still works great even with getting bumped around alot.
