I have an OPPO all region player and generally have not had an issue playing any blu rays I have gotten from Amazon uk including region locked ones ..I came across this blurb on the Sherlock Season 1 & 2 set on their site today..can anyone clue me in on what this means? first ive seen it...

"Please note that this product will not play on US spec 60i Blu-ray players as the Blu-ray discs are authored to UK 50i specs."

disregard ..apparently the Oppo will play them fine

Yup, I have the Sherlock seasons and they play fine on my player as well. Most US players can't playback PAL and 50i content, so that's why the warning is there.
