I like victoria. she's cute and seems a good fit. I've pegged her as mom for a while now....hoping this continues next year and beyond.
And yes, we all knew Barney and Robin were it. not a big shock, but should be entertaining to see what happens to Quinn (who is hot as hell btw...i'll miss her).

If you were hoping that perhaps Barney was marrying Quinn, today's Fox announcement, where she was introduced as part of the cast of one of it's new shows should have spoiled that for you pretty good.

They've made it abundantly clear that Victoria is not the mom. The mom is Cindy's (Rachel Bilson) roommate and a student at Columbia as of Ted's first class. Ted has not yet met her, but will meet her at a wedding where he is somebody's best man (i.e. almost certainly at Barney's wedding)

It's Barney's wedding. That was the cliffhanger from last season. They're borrowing heavily from Lost, where they had a funeral scene in the Season 3 finale, but didn't reveal who was in the casket until the end of Season 4. Then they didn't reveal the circumstances until late in Season 5.

Plenty called it. It was beyond obvious. They really are dragging this on too long. But as its been said..he's gotta meet the mother soon and bone if in 2030 hes talking to his teen aged kids.

I kept asking the question all season, I think you were the only one that assertive. Of course now everyone knew that was the finale! LOL!
I don't think it would be that big of an issue if it was Quinn, I know the actress has a new show, but they can always do something like Mad Men.
And yeah, I like both couples: Ted and Victoria, and Barney and Robin.

If this next season is HIMYM's last, I wonder if CBS will try to create a spin-off where we see married life with said mother.
