Star Trek Original Films Blu-Ray Quality
When I upgrade to BD I want to get some of my favorite films on BD. I already own the Star Trek TOS Movie pack that was released a few years ago (not the series, the movies with theatrical cuts.) They look fantastic on my SDTV but when I get HD, I want to know if I should rebuy the set on BD. The BD has the same special features, packaging, and everything.

Yes get the BD's.
They look stunning, each movie in the set has a 2nd all new commentary track, and tons of new extras.
The Trek set is what really sold me on how good BD really can be.
But make sure to keep your DVD copy of the Director's Cut of TMP. They still haven't finished getting that one ready for BD release so the only version on the set is the original one.

Keep the DVDs of Trek II and VI, especially the former. It expands on the kid that dies later in the film that they make a big deal about; turns out he's Scotty's nephew. It has a few extra character moments.
VI has a few new scenes and a 2.00:1 aspect ratio which is supposedly what Meyer originally wanted.
