McGarrett back from rehab. McGarrett vs Wo Fat
For those here who didn't watch the big crossover last week, overall it was just alright. The NCIS LA portion was a disappointment.

Welcome back McGarrett
Pretty cool episode overall. Nice way to bring him back. Lots of crazy in this episode. A plane crash, brutal fight scene in the jungle and McGarrett going all Rambo on the Yakuza. Plus, we even had Danny involved in some Operation Deep Throat coverup.
I really doubt this is the end of Wo Fat's storyline. He was a pretty significant villain in the original series. Since he isn't dead, I'll assume they will bring him back at some point.
BTW, horrible video game CGI for the plane crash. That looked like it was straight out of Microsoft Flight Simulator. CSI did something similar earlier this season with a Helicopter crash. I had to rewind that scene a few times just to see how bad it looked.
** A word of advice for those who are hyper sensitive to spoilers. Don't watch the scenes from next week's season finale. It looked like CBS spoiled that:
Poor Kono, well there's always Fong, that lab guy who seems into her.

why did mcgarett have a golf ball launcher on his rifle
was it supposed to be a suppressor? if so the prop people need to learn that suppressors have closed ends, except for the hole for the bullet

They've promoted for a long time, -its even in the DVR description, -that "one of their own" would be killed off in the finale. However, I don't think its the person shown taking a bullet. I think it'll be the actor who has a new series lined up for Fall.

Rambo is back in all his glory -- crash-landing an out-of-control plane in the jungle without hardly taking a scratch, beating the super martial artist in hand to hand combat, and taking out a 7-man heavily-armed Yakuza team all on his own. That's 5-0. It's just not a show without Rambo.
I assume the "one of their own" is Joe who really isn't "one of their own."
Given what we've seen so far of COs in the Hawaiian prison system, I'd say that's a safe assumption.

Joe always seemed like someone who was either going to get heroically killed off or do a heel turn before getting killed off.

I read that O'Quinn originally only agreed to guest star in a handful of episodes. But, H50's showrunner kept asking him to do more and he eventually agreed to do more. According to IMDB, he was in 10 of the 23 episodes shot this season. That's alot for a recurring guest star.
I never figured that he was a permanent member of the cast, so I'm fine with them killing him off.

The whole Kono subplot actually annoyed me. THAT'S the guy she falls for?
If anyone should actually be more aware of the situation............(shakes head)

I agree - I found the Kono relationship stupid. Chin should have slapped her upside the head. I didn't watch the non-McG episodes - was that previously revealed?

Her only scenes prior acting with the guy playing her bf were when she was arresting him. Or at least pointing a gun at him for some other reason.

It seems to be a running theme. On Unforgettable they had Carrie sleeping with the mob guy for several episodes. I guess 5-0 thought hey there's an idea we can rip off.

On Mentalist, they had Cho dating a drug-abusing retired hooker. Their break-up moment was when he caught her using cocaine, and he asked her "I'm a cop. How did you think this was going to end?"
