I'm working with some archaic software for my company, basically trying to make an animated gifs show up on a jumbotron type pixelated display. The software only takes avi files though.
I have a bunch of gifs I want to convert to AVI to put up in lights but can't find a way to convert them. Tried 'format factory' from cnet to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Never tried that, typically people are going the other way, video -> animated GIF.
Here's a freeware tool to convert images to AVI. It may only work with static GIFs though, so you'd have to split up the GIF first before using it:
