Will that be an extra minute of Big Baby crying about her hair?

Re: The Amazing Race 20 -- "I Need Hair To Be Pretty" -- 4/29/12

Thanks for the heads-up - just changed my recording to end at 9:01 pm ET. I record Celebrity Apprentice
after Amazing Race so I'll have to set the DVR to begin at 9:01 pm ET for that program. No big deal there -
the first few minutes of each episode is always a recap of the last episode so I won't be missing anything.
I also set the DVR by the time and not program so I don't have the problem that Mok has.

Now next week with the last hour of the two hour finale of The Amazing Race conflicting with the first hour
of Celebrity Apprentice - I'll have to use both the DVR in my room and the DVR in the living room to record
each program. Which sorta sucks since I always watch the Race/Apprentice back to back in my room and
here I'm force to go from my room to the living room here. This will be first of two weeks in a row where I'll
have to use both DVDrs as the finales of Survivor and Apprentice are head to head on Sunday, May 13.

There is obviously no doubt as to who said the title this week. God I hope they get booted this week. And there is little to no chance that she actually shaves her hair.

I hate when the networks do this. ABC is usually the culprit. Don't want to see CBS start pulling this. I guess they have decided to go to war with DVRs. Fortunately I only record one thing at 9 (DH) and that ironically starts at 9:01.

That's too bad. I liked the Kentucky guys.

JJ probably beats off while thinking of the power he has patrolling the border.

Looked like Kentucky started 5 hrs after the first team. Too much time to catch up with the Speed Bump. Nice drama on the mat. Cat fight!

Re: The Amazing Race 20 -- "I Need Hair To Be Pretty" -- 4/29/12

At the beginning of the race, I figured I would really dislike Bopper and Mark b/c they were such a caricature. Instead, I ended up liking them b/c they were such good guys. That having been said, they deserved to go home.

I don't really "like" any of the remaining teams. I guess if you made me pick then I'm rooting for Brendon & Rachel; she kind of grew on me last summer on BB after not liking her at all two summers ago. As long at those toolbags Art & JJ don't win I'll be good with it though.

That preview for next week was something...

I hope Vanessa's team wins, so she can buy herself an elephant and a monkey.

Whenever Bopper talks, all I hear is "Bandit 1, this is Bandit 2."

No, they're actually a week apart. They're both Mark Burnett shows so they would never go head-to-head.

Bopper's knee and the Bollywood number killed Kentucky. Hard to see anyone other than Dave and Rachel winning at this point, though the preview
Spoiler:
tried to stir up the possibility of an upset
.

Bopper & Mark. With all the racial tensions going on, it's refreshing to see two friends who seem to be totally color-blind. Agree with all of the comments about them. Don't even think I'll watch the finale since I couldn't care less who wins now. The Ky boys didn't deserve to win from a competition standpoint (they'd already been saved twice), but none of the rest deserve it from a personality standpoint.

Re: The Amazing Race 20 -- "I Need Hair To Be Pretty" -- 4/29/12

Mark and Bopper were awesome in this leg even though they were hopelessly out of it. Who wants to be some reality producer is going to pitch a Mark and Bopper TV series?

It really does look like Dave and Rachel are the clear front runners. Dave's attitude sucks sometimes, but I do like Rachel.

and of course the other Rachel passes on shaving her head. That really makes me appreciate what Joyce did in that season even more. It sounded to me that she basically said she's ugly without the long hair or shall I say hair extensions?

And my God, Art and JJ are still continuing to be the biggest douchebags on the planet. JJ just wouldn't shut the fuck up.

Yes that's what Rachel did say. She'll suffer the wrath of the internet for that one just because by now it should be a baseless insecurity.

I was thinking the same thing.

Rachel actually made some sense about her hair. I was thinking she's ugly already, so what difference would it make. But I guess I didn't see it from her POV - she'd basically be hideous.

It really would have been interesting if Vanessa faced that choice. She's all about her looks and beauty.

Those Kentucky must have been way way behind from the start. They never had a chance. Surprised they didn't have a transportation bunch-up to let them catch up.

And not surprisingly, the episode ended at 8:58, but the commercials and preview went until 9:01. Makes it all the more annoying. I wish DVRs could let you shave a minute or two on a show (like they let you extend) w/o having to do a manual record.

Re: The Amazing Race 20 -- "I Need Hair To Be Pretty" -- 4/29/12

I think Rachel knew that Kentucky was way behind, so there was no reason to even consider cutting her hair. She's competitive enough that had it made a difference it's possible she would have done it.

I wonder if blonde Rachel would have done it? She doesn't come off as vain as the other two girls.

I was hoping the Border Agents would place last, just behind Mark & Bopper, recipients of their $5k 1st place prize.

I was rolling my eyes at Bopper in the first episode (and he was one of my picks in the DVDTalk game!), but I grew to really like them. They seemed to be enjoying the game, and I know that's usually reserved for losers on their way out, but it appeared genuine throughout.

The way he tossed that out there I thought there really had been a violation and he was waiting for someone to confess before he threw down the hammer.

I think she could probably look really good with a bald head.

I thought it showed only two hours. My thought was that had they just got out of the dance last show in half the time, they could still be in this. Unfortunate that his knee went out. That ultimately was what cost them the final three.
