I stumbled upon this today and it seems like a pretty great deal to get the four documentaries, especially the Special Edition of Planet Earth, for a total of $62.99.
AMAZON LINK (http://www.amazon.com/Natural-History-Collection-Planet-Earth/dp/B005SH62C0/ref=sr_1_7?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1335101178&sr=1-7)
That averages out to $15.75 a piece. The lowest prices of the individual releases, per CamelCamelCamel, are as follows: Planet Earth: Special Edition ($34.99); Wild China ($17.99); Galapagos ($9.99); Ganges ($13.99). That means if you got them all at the cheapest they've ever been you'd still be paying $76.96.
Anyway, just figured I'd pass this along. Most people probably have some of the individual titles, but for those who put off buying Planet Earth (like me) this seems like a great option.

The Planet Earth/Life combination is quite a good price for those sets. The SE Planet Earth has significantly upgraded audio and a huge increase in supplemental material that wasn't on the Original release. The video is a mixed bag since they moved it from 1080p back to 1080i and placed it on 50Gb discs instead of 25GB discs -- some plusses, some minuses though I think it looks a little better and smoother than the original release (either the US or UK 1080p), but there are definitely folks who think otherwise.
If you have a TV that is compatible with 50Hz signal and a player that pushes through a native 50Hz signal, then the UK Special Edition looks even better, but the UK SE release is lacking quite a few of the supplements and one of the 6 disc set is a PAL DVD.
The US release on Attenborough narrated Life has rarely ever gone on sale and has stubbornly held at $38+ for nearly 2 full years except for a 1 day sale (Earth Day last year) when it dropped to $28 -- discounting the BN Black Friday fiasco from 2010 when a select few folks got it for $17-19

Very tempting to get this set. Think I will sleep on it since it is the deal of the week. Same with The Universe.
I may go with just one of the sets for now, and wait for the other to go on a DotD or special later on though. Not sure if I want to drop $120 on 2 sets in one sitting, even though they are very well done.

After being sucked into Frozen Planet this week I jumped at that price to upgrade my SD copy of Planet Earth to Blu and get Life in the deal... Now if they will just hurry up and arrive!
