I found it funny that Fringe is one of the most liked science fiction shows in this forum, but hardly anyone thought it was a top 10 FOX best show in that other thread.

I predicted (to myself) that the color of the credits would be black. I must be psychic!
So William Bell AND Peter were in the amber? So Desmond pushed out Peter but not Bell? How did they get Bell's hand then?
Also, why no female Observers?

Great ep. Felt like the first hour of a two-parter. Sad that it is not.
So Bell is put in amber at some point. What is his status in the newer timeline, do we even know? Any theories about Olivia (assume dead sometime after Etta is born, based on September's info earlier this season)?

That has to be a two-part episode. Maybe the next part will be next season if we get one? That hot ass blonde Australian agent apparently may have a recurring role, so they would have to finish that story up sometime.

So now we know why it was so important to September for Peter to have a child with Olivia, and why Henry was such a disruption to the future -- it wasn't that Henry himself was dangerous, it was that he wasn't Henrietta. Also explains why the Observers where so keen on erasing Peter once he'd bridged the two universes.
The actress playing Henrietta did a great job, I knew immediately she was supposed to be Olivia's daughter simply because of the way she spoke. Her cadence and delivery were exactly like Torv's.
Does anybody think this might be a bit of a preview of what a potential season 5 might look like? The beginning of the Observer invasion maybe?
Regardless of whether it's in a few weeks, or next year, I'm going to miss the shit out of this show.
Walter used the "torch" that Simon was using earlier to cut off Bell's hand.

What an episode! I wanted more next week! I hope this is a taste of what next season will be if it gets renewed. It was so great seeing the guy who played Desmond again.

That was a fantastic Lost episode of Fringe. Complete with Desmond too!
I hope the rest of the season leads up to the Ambering and the next season picks up where this episode left off.

Now that Walter has the missing part of his brain back, it appears he's reverting to his 1980s personality. More agressive, less cuddly, more mean. More like Walternate.

BTW this episode was all kinds of awesome. I had goose bumps and although I guessed what the ending would be, it still got to me.
My single favorite show on TV.

I'm not sure what to think of this. To just leave it hanging like it did, and to have things hard to reconcile with the current timeline (Nina said Bell died a few episodes ago).

This was Fringe's The Constant so it's only fitting that Henry Ian Cusick would find his way into the episode. I don't think I blinked for the whole hour. They most definitely have to revisit this storyline on the two-part finale in May. They can't leave us hanging unless they know they've already been picked up for at least a few episodes next season.
I loved this line from Nina Sharp, directed at formerly button-pushing Desmond:
"Of course, you understand the risks of wanting to save the world."
It was fairly obvious that Etta was Olivia and Peter's Daughter from the beginning. They even said it straight out:
Simon: "He's her grandfather."
Etta: "We're taking him to visit my Grandmother's grave. Today's the anniversary of her death."
Another line that cracked me up was from Walter:
"These aren't the Droids you're looking for."
"Move along" :

Noble should get ALL awards available for this episode if awards shows were fair.

Excellent episode. I hope they're able to carry this through into a fifth season and tie up all the loose ends!
It's interesting that I didn't see this coming. This entire season has been about identity, specifically how the people around us shape our identities (Olivia and Walter in the absence of Peter) and whether we can choose our own identity (Olivia choosing to take on her own memories, Lincoln choosing to stay in the Alt-verse). The perfect foil, of course, are the Observers, who lack identity (except for our favorite September). Cool enough, the showrunners laid the seeds for this in the season 2 episode "Fracture" where the AWOL Colonel was using human bombs to blow up Observers, who he claimed were here to study us so they could eventually take over.
Also, Jeff Pinker's twitter confirms that they were able to get Leonard Nimoy for this episode, so hopefully that means more of William Bell before the season is out!
