Synopsis:

I don't know if I'm going to stick it out with this show. It's really been boring me to death and so far I couldn't care less about any of the main characters. I'll give it one or two more episodes to see if it catches fire. Great production design, though.

Yeah - I was shocked by that.

Anyhow, I watched this one and the 3rd (which was on VOD), and I'm really enjoying it. The thing I wonder about is whether there was a real push to legalize casino gambling in FL in the late 50s. I guess maybe it was available in Cuba, pre-Castro, and they were trying to compete with that, but I'm skeptical that there was a serious push for it back then. Paramutuel betting (horses, dogs, jai alai) was quite prevalent in FL, and lucrative for the state.

It's interesting to see Ike struggling to run a legitimate business, but also needing support from a shady character like Diamond.

This show has great visuals, set designs and a shit load of eye candy. Finally got to see an partial nude sex scene with Olga Kurylenko. :thumbsup:

This show IMO is almost like a mix of The Godfather and Mad Men.
