She said she put the winning lotto ticket in a place no one else would find it.
And that appears to go for herself too, as McDonald's worker Mirlande Wilson has now revealed she cannot find the ticket with the winning numbers on it which could snag her a $105 million prize.

The Maryland mother-of-seven said she has lost the ticket but isn't very worried about finding it any time soon.
She told the New York Post: 'I have no idea where it is. Iím not sure I have it.*Iím still looking for it. I havenít even looked in my uniform pants yet.

'Iím still looking everywhere to find it, in my purse, everywhere.'
The 37-year-old told the paper earlier this week that she hid the ticket at the McDonald's restaurant she worked at, even though she is claiming she bought the ticket with her own money and not through the work pool, much to the chagrin of her coworkers.

Her daughter Stephanie also revealed that her mother would not even allow them to look for the ticket.
'I wanted to look for it, I was crying. She wouldnít let us. Itís a lot of money,', the 15-year-old said.
Since the Mega Millions draw last Friday, the Haitian immigrant has dominated the headlines as she came forward to say she had one of the three winning tickets.

But she refused to share the jackpot with her McDonald's coworkers and said she bought the winning ticket with a lucky dollar she found on the ground.
She then went on to say it was in a safe place at an undisclosed location before saying it was at the fast food restaurant she worked in at Milford Mill. Now she claims she lost it.

She is leaving the discovery of the ticket in the hands of God: 'Itís a blessing from God. If itís meant to be, weíll [find and] claim the ticket.'
But the mother-of-seven's coworkers aren't so sure she's telling the truth.
Another colleague told the Post: 'I donít believe her. I didnít believe her from the beginning, sheís always been strange.

'Sheís an attention seeker. She likes to have all the attention on herself.'
On her Facebook page, Ms Wilson has pledged to donate all of the winnings to rebuild her earthquake-ravaged native Haiti.
She wrote: 'All my true friend know im not greedy a person [sic] i don't want da money it made my life a living hell already im gonna give it all to rebuild haiti yall [sic] can chase all want my life and, my children it more important for money [sic].'

Ms Wilson held her own news conference last night where a lawyer pleaded that his client 'be allowed to return to a normal life', according to Wsbt.com.
Lawyer Edward Smith Jr asked the media to leave his client alone. Ms Wilson said little, only confirming that she is originally from Haiti.
The attorney said the attention had caused his client's blood pressure to spike. He said he was hired to protect her in case she was sued.

Ms Wilson told NBC she gave all of her coworkers the copies of the tickets for the pool and the winning ticket was not among them.
Instead she claims to have sent a friend to buy more tickets later that day and the winning one was among them.
'McDonald's don't have nothing to do with this,' she insisted. 'They don't have nothing to do with - they don't even know about it and they don't even have nothing to do with this. It's only us by ourself [sic].'

Ms Wilson has yet to produce a ticket, leaving Mega Millions officials skeptical.*
Stephen Martino, Maryland lottery director, told ABC: 'We don't know any more than the public or media does and it's all speculation and we're not going to get involved in that.'
Another official added: 'It's probably not this person.'
Winners in Maryland and Illinois have six months to claim the money - Kansas's newest multimillionaire has up to a year.
Both Maryland and Kansas will allow winners to remain anonymous but the lucky ticket-holder in Illinois will be identified.

A little bit of a discussion was started on this in the other recent lottery thread. I don't think she ever had the ticket. I think she got herself on TV for a few minutes.

Agreed, except I think she's going to use it as an attempt to sue somebody for stealing the ticket or some nonsense like that. People like her keep Baltimore looking bad.

I'd rather her win the lottery.

Me too. All that money will be turned right back to the American economy. In the hands of the wrong person, they could turn that one-chance wealth into lifetimes of family wealth and income. I doubt that's what this lady is going for. If she's holding out on some pool, it's likely that she's one of those people who will end up dead.

So I guess that the McDonald's pool plays quick picks? That seems lame. I thought that long time lottery players play their own #'s. That's how my Dad does it (he's really into lottery stuff ... it's always been his hobby). In the old days when he managed a work pool, he would take a Polaroid of the pool's tickets. From what I understand, that's how most pool's do it, when they know what they're doing.

If she can come up with the non-winning group of pool tickets AND then her winning separate ticket as well they would have no say actually. The whole way to avoid that of course is the fact with any lottery pool you should have a contract AND everyone has a photocopy of the purchased ticket(s) before the drawing even happens.

Personally I say she is just full of it just wants the attention. That and the fact the winner there does not even have to come forward unlike here in Illinois. You better believe if I won that kind of money I would not come forward if I could help it.

She mentions it was hidden in the McDonalds, I was the manager I would shut down the place and tear that place apart to find it if it were even true.

What if she sees she cannot win, so she gives the ticket to someone else to cash so they can give some of the money back to her...

That would show how really dumb she is, the person would take all the money and run - there would nothing she could say about it without being arrested.

13. What happens to a Mega Millions jackpot prize if it is not claimed?

If a jackpot prize is not claimed within the required time limit, each participating state in the Mega Millions game will get back all the money that state contributed to the unclaimed jackpot. Each state uses its unclaimed lottery prizes for different purposes. Claim time limits are listed in the answer to FAQ #7. Contact the lottery where you play to find out how unclaimed prizes are used.

Is there an answer to the above question? I don't know. I do know there are four people in the picture of the crowd next to her house, and anyone with any Internet experience at all should be able to see that.

Also, it's kind of a cute house, in a no-class, next to a drop-off laundry kind of way.

someone in MD claimed the portion of the jackpot today ... anonymously. I guess the McD lady needs to now claim she lost the ticket and sue the person.
Claiming the prize anonymously is the way to do it but it does raise concerns about possible legitimacy of the lottery if we don't know who actually (if any one) won.

Public school workers hold winning Mega Millions ticket (http://www.cnn.com/2012/04/10/us/maryland-lottery-winner/index.html?hpt=hp_t1)

(CNN) -- Three public school employees who have been working multiple jobs are winners in the historic Mega Millions lottery. And because they are remaining anonymous, and plan to keep working, their students and co-workers may never know.

"If it can't be you, these are precisely the people that you would want to see win the lottery," said Stephen Martino, director of the Maryland Lottery.

The three will get $35 million each after taxes, because each chose to take the lump sum rather than an annual payment.

Three winning tickets were sold nationally in the recent drawing, which had a record $656 million pre-tax payout. One ticket was sold in Kansas, another in Illinois and the third in Maryland.

The Kansas winner came forward last week, but chose to remain anonymous. In Illinois, no winner has come forward, but the ticket holder has a year to do so. The state does not allow winners to remain anonymous.

The winners in Maryland are a woman in her 20s, a man in his 40s, and a woman in her 50s, Martino said.

They are an elementary school teacher, a special education teacher, and an administrative worker.

All were "modest" and "humbled" by the win, Martino said.

One wants to take a backpacking trip through Europe; another wants to pay for his daughters' college educations and buy his sister a house; the third wants to tour Italy's wine country, Martino said. All plan to invest money and purchase new homes as well.

One of the winners holds two full-time jobs, Martino said. One of the teachers holds two other jobs.

In conversations with lottery officials, the teachers indicated no desire to retire, he said. "They said, 'I can't give up my kids,'" he said.

This was the first time the three had bought lottery tickets together. Each contributed $20 for a total of 60 tickets.

One played the lottery frequently; another played just occasionally; the third only played on rare occasions when the jackpot got particularly high, Martino said.

When they came to the lottery office, a financial adviser was with them -- and one of the winners carried the ticket in an envelope in her purse, Martino said.

News reports about another possible winner were not accurate, Martino said.

That is awesome that 2 of the 3 are teachers.

I can't believe anyone really took her seriously. One would have to think she might've been telling the truth when she first came out and said she had the winning ticket. She WAS part of a group who bought tickets and no one else had come forward.

I stopped back when an official said they had viewed the video footage of where the ticket was bought and said a male had bought the ticket around the time it was sold. I think it was around the first time she changed her story as to where the ticket was.
