Casper the friendly ghost complete collection went down to 15.99. This was just released from Shout factory and I pounced. I've noticed some good buys on the official Popeye sets from warner that are amazon fulfilled as well as that on Batman Beyond season 2 for around 10 dollars as well.

Need POPEYES 2 & 3 to pair up with the Vol. 1 that I got at Big Lots, but still wish these were cheaper.

CASPER I got used at Half Price Books for $8.00 with a coupon, but it's worth $15.99 if you like the character. Like POPEYE there is a certain amount of repetition to the cartoons if too many are watched consecutively, but the animation is terrific.

It's a real shame that these Popeye sets fizzled out so soon. I think I paid close to $40 bucks for mine when it came out. The documentaries alone were fantastic, and I thought Popeye would get the royal treatment like Looney Tunes golden sets.

How much cheaper can those Popeye sets really get? I don't see them at 3 bucks at Big Lots anytime soon.

I was hoping for more sets too, but I'm grateful for what did get released. I had always figured we'd never see them on DVD. I'm little surprised they didn't do better but they were asking top dollar for them on initial release.
