Sounds like they essentially turned it into a Dynasty Warrior game.

it's a damn shame. Ninja Gaiden Black is probably the best action game of all time, and is probably my #2 game of all time. Itagaki is laughing his ass off I am sure. This one will kill the franchise. I wish "From Software" could get a hold of the license.

Eh, I still have it on pre-order.

It seems like IGN has been particularly brutal to some higher profile releases lately. Silent Hill and I Am Alive both got 4.5, while they were getting 7-8s almost everywhere else. A 3 for Ninja Gaiden almost seems like a joke, however I'll probably just rent it tomorrow now rather than buying it.

Thats depressing. The X-Box Ninja Gaiden is in my top ten of all time.

you can definitely see in the vids that it is extremely noob friendly. i guess if you sucked at the other 2 NG games you can feel like you are a bad ass while playing this one. Also do you actually fight any "monsters" or "fiends" in this one? it looks to me like you just fight humans and robots the whole time...lame.

A 3? Wth? Ninja Gaiden Black was one of my favorite games. I guess I should finally open Ninja Gaiden 2 and play that instead of bothering with Ninja Gaiden 3.

Isn't it a completely different team behind this?

I know it's still Team Ninja, but as far as staff wise...

The mastermind of the series, Itagaki, left the Team Ninja staff.

Played it the other night and enjoyed it. It is a lot easier, but to be honest playing as a super ninja, killing everything in site rather easily, is a lot of fun. At one point I did a magic attack, and the few guys who lived, dropped their weapons, got on their knees and started begging. One guy even said "not like this" like the Matrix
