The answer is either "probably not" or "it depends"
*If they support an income tax deduction, you might want to keep them for 7 years to be perfectly safe.
If you don't have a subsequent statement showing the amount as paid, you might want to hang on to them and proof of payment in case of any billing dispute.

If neither applies, you can discard them, but you might want to shred or burn them.

What DVD Polizei said. Takes so little space to keep electronic versions of documents. Ive got around 15 years of docs of all sorts PDF-ized, and it's only around 9GB. Small enough to keep a backup on an iPhone.
