CSI: -- 12th Season Thread (Now with Elisabeth Shue) -- Wednesdays (CBS)
By djariya at 2012-02-15
Synopsis for "Seeing Red:
Spoiler:
Elisabeth Shue is now on the cast as of today.
It's hard to believe the show went from William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger 12 years ago to Ted Danson and Elisabeth Shue today.
I know there isn't enough to talk about week to week, so this will be the thread of record for the few CSI fans here.

And please, if you hate procedurals, don't thread crap and say shit like CSI sucks or Elisabeth Shue still won't get me to watch.

Not a regular viewer. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen an episode outside of syndication. However, I love me some Shue. And Ted Danson doesn't suck.
Related note, did they kill off any of the old characters?

And I love Elizabeth Shue. Ted Danson has been surprisingly good. I haven't seen last night's show but I'll watch it tonight.

Danson has been a homerun. Elizabeth Shue? Too early to make a declaration, but she was excellent and already fit in better in one episode than Elisabeth Harnois has in 16.
I know it was last week, but I'm disappointed that the Shear Stalker was solved in a lone episode. With the setup they presented with 26 possible victims, they could have made that an arc for the rest of the season.

I haven't watched most of the season (checked the premiere out for Danson) and now this one (for Shue) and enjoyed it. The ending was predictable since they kind of foreshadowed it with Shue's introduction, but still a decent enough episode. Looking forward to see how Shue fits in.

Caught up with CSI.
I thought it was a good introduction to Shue's character. Obviously she and D.B. have alot of history from their days working at the Seattle Crime Lab.
I'm shocked that noone mentioned this:
"Diebenkorn Russell" is D.B.'s real name.

Did anyone here who still watches CSI watch Wednesday's episode yet?
That IMO was a fantastic episode. One of the most clever episodes they have come up with.
Quadruplets involved in an elaborate murder plot, 2 smoking hot twins, and a 12 year old mastermind. Archie going nuts looking at security video.
I know this show doesn't always have alot of compelling plot to talk about, but that was a really solid episode.
BTW, Elisabeth Shue is fitting in really nicely on this show. Fin is a nice departure from Catherine.

^ I tune in every so often, and yeah, I enjoyed this episode as well. And I am liking the cast thus far between Danson and Shue.

Overall I have been very pleased with season 12. I give it a solid B+ leading into this finale. I think Danson brought new life into this show. Glad it's coming back in the Fall.

I dunno... Danson is OK, but I'm just not feeling it with him... I do like Shue tho. I would have liked to have seen someone like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, more of an alpha male type as the lead CSI.

Wow, fantastic finale. Bringing back Warrick's killer... pretty cool idea. On the flip side I HATE the fact they brought DB's family in just to make them victims. I LOVED the fact that he had a normal home life that wasn't affected by his work.

This show definitely had a spark this season and improved as it went along. Glad to hear we'll be getting more next season. Yeah, the finale was pretty good.
