Help me with Lyrics about Authority

So I am the photo editor at a music site. We are adding a new "feature" to the site sort of like a mayor of Foursquare. These "mayors" will get their own page on our site. We are bringing on one "mayor" for 5 different cities to start.

These people will be social networking whores. People who tweet and go see a lot of shows, whether they be local bands or big ones. Their page will be a place for their twitter feed, do short show reviews, post "Instagram" type of photos and promote shows coming to their city.

But we can't use the term Mayor and need to come up with a new one.

Ambassador
Big Cheese
etc

All stupid ideas.

I'd like it to be Rock n Roll based. I'd especially like if there was a famous reference in a song we could play off of.

Like calling them Sheriffs - "I shot the sheriff"

I know its a terrible one. But I want to explain my logic.

Any song lyrics or music references you think might work?

Since you're in Jersey, The Boss is a no-brainer. Or stupid.

Re: Help me with Lyrics about Authority

The Boss has been on the short list. But yeah, I am in NJ, although our office is in NYC and we cover a bunch of other areas.

We plan on having 5 "Bosses" to start in places like Portland, NYC, Austin, Boston and one other undetermined city.

The good thing about Boss is we can have an underboss in a big city.

Keep those recommendations coming.

Re: Help me with Lyrics about Authority

Um how about the Authority song By John Mellencamp

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wsEwK69LXjQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Authority Song lyrics
Songwriters: Mellencamp, John;

Oh, they like to get you in a compromising position
They like to get you there and smile in your face
Well, they think they're so cute when they got you in that condition
Well I think it's a total disgrace, and I said

I fight authority, authority always wins
Well, I fight authority, authority always wins
Well, I've been doing it since I was a young kid, I come out grinnin'
Well, I fight authority, authority always wins

So I call up my preacher
I say, "Give me strength for Round 5"
He said , "You don't need no strength, you need to grow up son"
I said, "Growing up leads to growing old and then to dying
And dying to me don't sound like all that much fun"
So I said

I fight authority, authority always wins
Well, I fight authority, authority always wins
Well, I've been doing it since I was a young kid, I come out grinnin'
Well, I fight authority, authority always wins

I said ?Oh no no no?, I said ?Oh no no no?
I said ?Oh no no no?
I fight authority, authority always wins

Well, I've been doing it since I was a young kid, I come out grinnin'
Well, I fight authority, authority always wins
Well, I fight authority, authority always wins

Re: Help me with Lyrics about Authority

Promoter?
Producer?

The problem with using actual music-related titles will confound their positions with those actually holding said titles. Therefore, I think you want to go with titles less obviously related to music, like Boss or King or Bishop or Rook... wait, what?

Fortunate Son? (not really authority, but privileged)
Mr. Big Stuff? (who do you think you are?)

Re: Help me with Lyrics about Authority

Thanks for the suggestions. Authority song just has no title we could give someone.

And it doesn't necessarily need to be authority (I know I said that), but just some type o music related "title" (mayor, sir, president, ambassador, etc).

I like Bishop....its on the short list.
