Fun episode. "Smooth Criminal" is my favorite MJ song and the way they did it was pretty cool. All the songs were well done.

These tribute episodes are always ridiculous. An artist is barely mentioned for three years, and one week he or she is suddenly every character's favorite.

Seems like a Michael episode should've been a much bigger deal than a Madonna tribute episode but I don't recall seeing any promotion for this.

I thought the editing for 'Bad' was pretty shoddy though.

I thought it was a great ep. Still don't like some of the continuing story lines but the music and numbers were top notch.

Re: Glee -- "Michael" -- 1/31/12

Show's musical numbers this Ep were fine but the story line over all was just horrible..

Stereo typing in a bad way I guess, as in suggesting he could NOT be a villain, but now the big bad of the show is the 140 pound gay musical leader of a private boy's school glee choir?! Ohhh fearful intimidation there. At least in the past with Sue trying to bring down the group, she really had the fire power to do so..

then he blinds someone to the level of needing eye surgery sort of way but the Glee club just shrugs it off!? I could see if it was some sort of public shaming but again, blind in one eye..

and of course the blond ex stripper dude trying to hook up with the school fat chick now, as if that would ever happen in highschool, ever... I know the show is about the musical stuff and the rest is just campy filler but the story line writing is really getting horrible now.

but that's a subjective, IMO issue I know.

Those cello guys were freaking awesome. So intense. I wasn't expecting that at all.

i think this is what really killed the episode for me. if they kept the injury to something less severe i could have bought into things. but he wounds Blaine with rock salt to the eye, and instead of filing real charges against him, they "take the high road" by singing at him? they couldn't have sang at him while he was being arraigned?

i guess this is all meant to be taking place in a galaxy far far away and they are not even remotely trying to make this kinda sorta a reality based dimension.

they also used too many quick cuts and i couldn't really see hemo doing her dancing which is the sole redeeming feature for me these days.

i used to look forward to this show.

You pretty much explained why I no longer watch the show . I DVR and watch the musical numbers, but I honestly could not care less about the characters or what they are doing. The stories suck and the acting leaves a bit to be desired.

Probably not a good sign that the cello guys stole the show...

FYI, Glee is taking a hiatus after February 21st. It will return April 10th to finish out the season.

FOX is making Tuesday nights an all comedy block starting March 6th.

Very impressive for two guys on cello playing live but I don't think it really captured the feel of the original.
