For what was mostly a self contained episode like season 1, I thought it was really entertaining.
at the guy getting impaled at the beginning. That was a pretty sick way to start the episode.
That was pretty sad the girl died at the end from having all those visions.

That was a great little self-contained episode with a little bit of Observer thrown in. Can't believe Olivia didn't tell Peter what he told her though. Great performance from the girl.
I wonder if Olivia's migraines will turn into humming sounds then she will start to see visions of death too and that's how she dies.

Fringe's ratings were up a little bit. 1.2 in the demos last night.

I normally watch Fringe late at night (like, 4AM). I usually fall asleep and have to try and watch it again the next night (at 4AM, when I fall asleep again). But this episode had me glued to the screen. It was almost like season 1 all over again!

The special effects budget that would likely be scrapped if there was a season 5 was on display this week.
They've really got the mythology/FotW mix down pat. On any other show this would have just been a FotW episode but here it's actually used to further the story.

We NEED a season 5!
It's obvious they didn't write this season as the last one, I know, I know, it will suck if this Olivia dies, Peter comes back and then they hurried up the series finale.
And yeah, great episode!

The producers have already said that the season 4 finale can function as a series finale as well.

What exactly was the final drawing? The girl sitting on the bench with her father next to her and Olivia behind? Not sure how that was a harbinger of doom.

Re: Fringe -- "Forced Perspective" -- 1/27/12
If this episode had been from season 1, I'd have been fine with it....but having Peter sit out most of the episode was a huge mistake... this show works best when Peter/Olivia/Walter are together and this season has been so damn light on that dynamic, that I am really starting to get pissed off. I still like Fringe, but it's a shell of it's former self and the writers have really taken this show down a path I don't care for. I keep hoping they can correct things and stop being stubborn about this awful reality they've created for the characters but they seem to think sticking to this is a good idea. If this is the last season, I really hope they wrap it up somehow... since it seems inevitable that it'll be cancelled, it would just be a total asshole move to leave it open for a fifth season that everyone knows is never coming.

^ agreed.
I enjoy the show still, but they need to get back to the normal reality soon. I'll be very disappointed if they're saving that until the last episode this season.
At least the characters are now on board w/ getting Peter back to his own universe...

Another yup on that dynamic. Lee's nice and all, but this was the first episode where I really missed Peter and Olivia out on the field. Also, Lee's stupid, and I miss it when Peter figures things out quickly.

Thanks, I guess I didn't pick up that the girl was only drawing death scenes. I mean, that was all we saw in the episode but I may have thought that there was a broader definition of significant events she was seeing.
