The Swede's not having a good time of it lately, is he?The actor that plays Bohannon has really grown into the role over the course of the season. That scene where the Rev. Cole tells him to choose hate was chilling. And, of course, it played out at the end of the episode.
Good news. It took a little while to grow on me, but I really like this show now.

Good finale
at the Swede getting tortured by the folks from Hell on Wheels.
I thought the whore was kind of a bitch to Elam. He's just getting his life together and she starts talking about marriage and kids.
Bohannon's last fight with that Union soldier was intense. He was so full of rage that he wouldn't listen to reason. It should be interesting with him as a fugitive for season 2 and still looking for the sargent.
Anson Mount really grew into this role. A good 10 hour ride overall.

Fully unexpected that the preacher told him to choose hate. Caused me to shiver in my chair. I was a bit surprised that Bohannon would seek any kind of counsel. but then to get that response. Was nice to see that he did have a conscience.
So I guess that next season we find the western Gerard searching for the fugitive. Wonder if we will still follow the train story? Wonder if Elam will still work with Durant. Wonder if the Sgt. will become the "one-armed man"?
Looking forward to season 2.

I appreciate AMC taking a risk to make a show like this that won't appeal to a wide audience. With that being said, I haven't found the story to be very rich or interesting compared to other AMC series and got bored with the show a few episodes in. Maybe I will check it out next season to see if it improves, but it hasn't been my cup of tea so far.
