Looking forward to this, as always, but especially tonight because of the guest star.

I think this was my favorite episode so far. Just loved the storytelling, and of course the set designs and costumes were great as usual.

Lana Parrilla is great at playing these two deliciously evil characters. You can tell she's having a lot of fun.

Emma Caulfield's role was pretty small this ep - I hope her character's real world counterpart shows up in the future.

So, does anyone else think the guy on the motorcycle is the Big Bad Wolf?

I don't see how, presumably the Blind Witch is dead.

The camera does seem drawn to it, doesn't it? Maybe it's the cameraman.

Lana Parrilla does look amazing. Definitely an attention getter as evil queen.

Any idea who the guy on motorcycle is suppose to be?

Funny, I couldn't take my eyes off of those pants she was wearing when she first met the kids.

It seems like I say every week that this one was my favorite but I'm thinking it again this week. It's definitely in my top 3 along with the Huntsmen episode and the Rumpelstiltskin episode.

Absolutely loved this episode. The storytelling was so good. I really enjoyed seeing the backstory of Hansel and Gretel and the Blind Witch. Although, I think the Blind Witch was really underused. It really brought back my childhood when I was read these stories as a kid. Lana Parilla is just fantastic as Regina and the Evil Witch.

I even thought the present day storyline with Emma helping the 2 children find their father was compelling.

The whole bad boy act and the motorcycle sort of gives off that vibe.

Best episode of the series. Best new show of the season (for me). Evil Queen is not only superbly acted ... she is hot. Even her scar is hot.

Isn't that basically the last three eps?

Missed this because of a directv outage... do they stream this (legally) anywhere, or do I have to wait for reruns?

I guess I'm in the minority but I found last night episode's lacking... especially since I was really looking forward to it being a seasoned buffy fan....

I thought it was pretty good. This one was filled with more drama than the one last week. I can't wait to see which characters they bring out next.

Re: Once Upon A Time -- "True North" -- 1/15/12

This show is just okay. I still think there are major problems with the "flashbacks" in them being too hokey and having poor effects. For a show that is trying to mirror Lost, on that show most fans anticipated the flashbacks more than the current narrative. I'm also not liking the actress playing the Evil Queen, who is way over the top and one-note in much of her performance. So far the character has been a very one-dimensional villain.
