anyone have first hand knowledge of DirecTV's AM21N?

As of today my current NBC and CW affiliates are shut off due to a contract dispute with DirecTV. I'm sure it will be resolved sooner than later, but I was poking around and found this device, DirecTV's OTA integrator unit. Anyone know if it works well? I know it's all about the antennae hooked up to it, but assuming that is fine, this thing is supposed to integrate OTA signals into your guide, allow you to record, etc. I know the old DirecTV boxes allowed you to do this without the addon, but for $45 I thought it was worth a shot considering I also have a pretty decent (albeit set-top) HD antennae just collecting dust in my basement.

I wouldn't worry about purchasing anything like this. NBC is carrying the Super Bowl in a few weeks. If they don't resolve the problem in a timely manner I'm sure some folks will cancel their service.

Wow I had no idea this was going on...won't miss the CW but come Thursday I better have NBC back. I don't understand why I didn't see annoying messages from DTV for the past week or so like when the FX thing was imminent.
