Hey guys, just wanted to give a heads up about the B2G1 sale at Barnes & Noble. Criterions are about $22 and change. Not as good as the Criterion sale but if you need a Criterion fix, it isn't too bad. There's also coupons in this thread (http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-bargains/533548-barnes-noble-coupon-thread-part-2-a.html).

Cheers.

Most of the ones I have checked out are at or close to their SRP of $39.99

If we're talking Criterion titles, Amazon has many of those Blu-rays marked to prices that would be comparable with this sale when you consider the sales tax you would need to pay at B&N.

True. Thing that stood out for me was that pre-orders are included.

So they are 22 after the b2g1 or before? I can't find anything for a good price.

$68 for 2 titles/3 movies = $22.67

Use any of the 20% member coupons (or 15% non member)-- and it lowers it
to 61.30/63.00 +tax. Codes won't work on the eligible preorders though the B2G1 will work and if you need an already released discs that's the same price as the preorders make sure not to add it to your cart first or the % off code will be rejected b/c the computer will make it the free item.

Of the normal $40 discs there are a few Criterions still at 34.04 -- 12 Angry Men, Rushmore, Design for Living, The Lady Vanishes, Tokyo Drifter, Branded to Kill, The Rules of the Game. Plus about 10 others for 35.99.

More and more states, mine included, get tax charged on Amazon. Now that any future Criterion 50% sales at BN are questionable, this is a good deal.
