Actually, it appears that a whole host of Sony TV DVDs are at 62% off list price. Hazel and two seaons of The Partridge Family are also at $7.63. I dream of Jeannie is at $10+ as the list price is higher for some reason than some of Sony's other releases. Last year, Sony had a big sale at Amazon in January of some of these titles, so it may be a yearly thing for them (I don't expect DD to offer such deals on their own).

The first three seasons have been colorized. That miffs me as a purist. Pragmatically, though, was it a good job?

• Season 8 - $9.99

And all of these prices were during a sale in November 2011.

Season Three was always in color. Only Seasons One and Two were ever in black & white.

There were not Fraiser seasons available at the 7 dollar price point either.

and for some reason not all seasons of some of these (Starsky and Hutch) are available at the discounted price.

Sony's had a DVD sale in January for the past several years. Prior to last year it was typically a B1G1 sale but most of these prices are on a par with or slightly better than with those prior B1G1 sales.

I have these (although I'd have purchased the B/W ones had they been available at the time for the *very* low price I paid). The colorization is not bad, but not as good as what is currently done by Legend. It's of the type where the image appears to go B/W toward the end of a fade out/start of a fade in, fast pans of scenes with *lots* of background detail (trees, bushes, etc.) lean toward B/W, the inside of mouths tend to be B/W with teeth not looking quite right as a result, and flesh tones being a bit "off" at times. It's watchable, but I find it just a bit distracting at times.

Dick York is just in the first five seasons, right? I don't need to go beyond that as I never cared for Dick Sargent in the role. He's an ok TV actor, but was way too smarmy and bland as Darrin after York nailed it.

Correct. That's exactly why I stopped at S5. I just never cared for Sargent in the role.

The completist in me has almost purchased S6-S8 several times, although I doubt I'd ever watch them more than once. There *are* some good episodes in those last few seasons but the presence of Sargent and the more political leanings of the plots have kept me from caving in to that obsession.

I have bought quite abit from DD in the last quarter. While these MAY be different because they're likely NOT deletions; I have been finding that they run out quickly, & about 75% of the time, once they're gone, they're gone.

$7.63 is an excellent price for the Bewitched sets. I've been waiting years to get a deal on seasons 4-8. Never seen them go below $9, so I decided to finish off the collection. So much for going cold turkey on DVD purchases this year.

Getting the remaining seasons so cheap almost makes up for the $25 I paid for season one on release day. I remember the B&W version was nowhere to be found in stores, so I had to resort to Amazon. Ordered season 2 & 3 for about $15 each during a B1G1 sale at DD in 2007. Those seemed like solid prices back then.

I found one cool find in the Sony sale. They Have Macbeth by Roman Polanski for 7.63. It's an unusual production funded by Playboy Magazine in the 1970's. Highly recomended. I picked it up.
