Super MEGA MP3 sale on both Google Music and Amazon(Albums $5, Singles $.49)
Felt this was worth pulling out of the Amazon thread:
Amazon is either matching or running their own thing because they have dropped a ton of albums to $5 as well. They don't seem to be doing the $.49 cent singles though.
I managed to pick up a mix from both companies, what was on sale on Amazon wasn't on Google and vice versa. Worked out well.
Google Music's running a "blowout sale" where they're putting half-a-million albums on sale for $4.99 and ten million tracks on sale for $.49. They're only got a few albums listed on the landing page, but it looks like they're including almost everything besides Sony-signed artists and deluxe/multi-disc sets.
I managed to pick up a mix from both companies, what was on sale on Amazon wasn't on Google and vice versa. Worked out well.

really awesome how you buy the music and need a separate app to download it and then only track by track because they want everything in da cloud

Yeah, PITA but for a sale I'm game.

This is what they should always be priced. It's minimal work to get any album you want for free online, so sub-$10 prices are what all online retailers need to attract buyers.
