Preordered the CD. Unfortunately I'm unable to spend the $300 on the deluxe edition right now. This will be the first release of Reznor's in a long time that I won't have in all formats.

Can't wait for the 9th.

I ordered the CD. $300 is a bit too much for my broke ass. I love NIN's Ghosts and the Social Network soundtrack and so far I love the 6 song sample of TGWTDT.

I'm surprised at the lack of Blu-ray on this release.
Sure, the USB contains 96k audio, but it doesn't state if it's surround or not.

Trent was asked on about the lack of Blu-Ray on Twitter, and his response was: "long story..."

Hopefully at some point Reznor releases a BR and separate-non-$300 edition of the vinyl.

It's on iTunes for preorder now (you get Immigrant Song immediately), and Amazon's got it too, but it's more expensive there than just ordering it straight from Null.

I'm sure it will be in B&M store too.

If you order it with something else from Amazon with free shipping the price difference would be less than a dollar though. At least for me, shipping was $5.80 standard, maybe it differs by location.

I've listened about the first 6 tracks after getting my download earlier this morning. Very good so far. I'm looking forward to seeing the film. With almost three hours of music, this is going to take me awhile to absorb.

I've listened to the whole thing once, and am working my way through it again. It is a lot to absorb. Too much, imo. Ambient stuff like perihelion and with the flies is great with a movie to go along with it, but I don't want to sit down and just listen to it. I need melody or some kind of interesting sounds. There's no reason for this album to be 2 1/2 hours.

With that said, the good stuff on here is really good. Better than the social network I think. I need to listen to it more but I'd say tracks 9-25 are incredible, and I'd add a couple more from the first and last third to make a more concise, really strong record.

Immigrant song has me really hungry for new nin.

Saw the movie tonight and really liked the soundtrack so I'll get the CD. I'd love the vinyl but no way in hell I'm spending $300 on it.
