Has anyone here seen or heard of this movie? I just saw the trailer the other day and it looks interesting. I guess this is in limited release.

This screams "Big Lots" shelf filler to me just from the title and cast list.

Re: The Son of No One (S: Tatum, Holmes, Pacino, Liotta, Dir: Montiel)

The DVD and Blu-Ray for this movie came out yesterday. I rented it last night and finished it today. I'm guessing that none of you heard of or saw this movie when it came out in limited release in the Fall.

Overall the movie wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good either. Very slow paced Cop thriller with uninspired acting and directing. Channing Tatum is miscast as the lead playing a young patrolmen in the Queens division of the NYPD who is haunted by a dark secret from his childhood that could impact his career and family. Plus, he was sporting an awful peach fuzz mustache.

Al Pacino's role was pretty small in this movie. He was relegated to mostly flashbacks. I liked Ray Liotta as the Captain, but he wasn't given much to work with. Juliette Binoche played a newspaper reporter, who plays a significant part in the plot. Funny that she has an American name in this movie and speaks with a thick French accent.

If this ends up airing on Showtime in the next few months, then you can probably kill some time and check it out. The movie was so dull and uninspired that I can't recommend renting this, let alone buying it.
