It looks like this one is making funny of the all the paranormal & UFO crap that's aired on the History Channel alongside the genuine "history" type programming.

(As much as I like the good stuff that's on the History Channel, I do wish they would dump the junk)

I laughed maybe twice. Kind of a lame episode.

The fake history channel footage was funny, but I don't feel like they did much with it. As far as the Thor parody aspect, I just watched Thor last week so I got the references but again it was pretty shallow.

I watch Ancient Aliens on the History Channel and I was laughing through the entire episode, if you don't watch AA then it was not nearly as funny. Go watch a episode of AA and re-watch South Park, it will be much funnier.

in theory, the concept was good, but the execution wasn't all that good. loved the scene at the end with natalie portman with her legs in the air, shooting the wormhole out of her vag.

I'm just thankful this wasn't a 2 or 3 parter. It certainly felt that way going towards the last 5 minutes.

Definitely funny in theory, if not in execution.

Hmmm. No Giorgio Tsoukalos hair? History Channel and aliens. I felt a Tsoukalos cameo was necessary.

That sums up this massively disappointing season of South Park in a nutshell. It wasn't as lame as the early seasons, but it was just so anemic. There was not a single outstanding episode this year. Maybe it's because the creators were busy with the Book of Mormon. I thought last week would have some of their wicked cutting edge satire in regards to current events, but they were just phoning it in.

Re: South Park -- "A History Channel Thanksgiving" -- 11/9/11

Thought is was pretty good, not great, although I loved what they were saying. I was just thinking about this about a week ago when flipping through the channels. I, at one time, watched The History Channel all the time but it eventually became so filled up with 'what ifs' and 'suppose this' crap I hardly ever watch it any more. Have they run out of History or are people so stupid they would rather watch shows dealing with Zombie Apocalypses, Aliens, and Ghosts? I'm thinking the latter.

No shit. There's a lot they could have done with all of the stupid crap they show on the History Channel.

The stuff with Indian and Pilgrim aliens fell completely flat, and the Thor parody was completely out of nowhere.

Methinks South Park's manatees have been getting lazy.

I guess I don't know what some of you expect from this show. I thought it was pretty funny though. Liked the rips on History Channel and also thought it was cool they spoofed Thor. The scenes with Natalie Portman and Kyle were good too and the end with her opening the wormhole was pretty funny .

Did you literally laugh? Lately, I haven't even been finding South Park amusing, let alone laugh out loud funny.

I laughed at some parts, is there something wrong with that? I still like the show and for running as long as it has it's still good for the most part. I wouldn't say the new seasons are the show in it's prime but the show isn't so bad that it should just end or something.

No, there's nothing wrong with that. I'm just saying that I haven't. So what I'm personally looking for is it to be more funny, to me anyway.

Did not like this episode. I was almost to the point of being bored.
