Awesome episode yet again. I hope that Brother Sam isn't killed off due to the ending of this week's episode as I really like the character. It looks like he may have a chance from the clips from the next episode. Also thought it was cool seeing Dexter go after Travis and take him prisoner in the car. I'm really confused about Gellar in a lot of ways he still doesn't seem real but the way he's referred to by Travis and the fact that he called him makes me now think that he possibly is real. Really liking this season though!

Yeah, that phone call kind of complicates things.
If Gellar is indeed a figment of Travis' imagination, then he should probably have just shown up next to him while he was walking back to the parking garage.
Hope Ryan come back...

Gellar also popped the trunk... Idk.. I'm sticking by the theory that he's in Travis' head until Gellar actually interacts with or is seen by someone else.

His body will probably be found in the church somewhere by Dexter.
Writers: "Ah ha! Gotcha!"

I like the season so far but if it turns out Gellar is a split personality of Travis's than I'll be disappointed. That twist is over played.

When I heard Edward James Olmos was hired for this season, I ws excited and looking forward to the type of star turn that we got from John Litgow in Season 5. But so far he seems terribly underutilized and is hardly even a presence.

No he didn't. Travis did before he got out of the car. He simply got out of the car when Travis was carrying the girl to the back.

An auction site where you have to mail in your item? And Masuka is impressed because the intern can use Google?
Do the creators of this show know how the internet works?

my frustration with this show is that for the most part I LOVE Dexter's character and most of his storylines.
The secondary characters are all absolutely ridiculous and drag this show down. This ebay subplot is beyond stupid

You're right. I just rewatched. I was checking my fantasy points last night during this scene. When I turned back, the sound of Gellar opening the door sounded like he popped the trunk while it was rising. Thanks

They did show Gellar drinking at the bar...not that that proves anything.
But I think they did show Gellar when Travis wasn't present. I think he had a scene with him and Travis and Travis walked away or something but they still showed Gellar. Maybe it was the phone call and they showed Gellar after the call ended. Still no proof though.

I'm probably going to feel dumb for asking this, but really? I know about big auction houses having online auctions where they hold onto the valuable items, but this seems much more like an eBay situation. Especially since they showed her feedback number.
If the site was handling everything, what would be the point of seller feedback for the person who provides the item?

It seems like just a device to make it harder to get the hand back. I had assumed that Masuka would have made the intern give him the hand back, but this seems to make that impossible. I'm not sure where this storyline is heading. At least Josh Cooke is trying something other than comedy.
As for Gellar's cup being the same in the bar, wouldn't most cups be the same in any given bar?
Anyone else notice this episode was LaGuerta free?

to no LaGuerta
As I said in a few of the previous threads, she's dead weight, especially with her promotion.
So Travis has coffee with Gellar and supposedly receives a cell phone call from him. I don't think that proves this version of Gellar is real at all. Remember in the church Travis glanced over at Gellar and saw blood drenched on his face and then glanced back and it was gone. I think he's definitely got a twisted imagination.
at how sloppy he was trying to abduct that girl at the harbor.
at Quinn blowing off Batista to hook up with the Professor. I didn't realize hooking up with a hot college professor was a bucket list wish for anyone. I'm curious if her tramp stamp has any significance since he was so clearly shown.
Really liking Mos as Brother Sam. There was some nice moments with him and Dex in this episode. Hope he survives and Dexter does some ungodly things to the shooter.

Great episode.
I'm not that concerned about Gellar being real or not, I'm more concerned about Mos Def being good or bad. I mean, he looks to be good, so I'd be really disappointed if he turns on being the real bad guy here.

You're right. For some reason it just dug into my head last night and wouldn't let go. I don't want to turn this into a Walking Dead thread, except focused on the rules of a fictional auction site.

I think most of the people who would post negatively about the quality gave up on the series last year. I only still watch it because there are others in the house who enjoy the series, and I also have a compulsion to complete every show I start.

Honestly I think last season is by far the weakest, but this season has more than made up for it. I'm really liking this season a lot thus far. I think season five had a lot to live up to after the awesome season four and on top of it wasn't the best story arc.
