Has this crossed any of your minds?
The machine is cranking out random social security numbers for people who may be good or bad. How come every single person so far has been based in New York City? I know it's just a show, but it would be a little more realistic if Reese had to travel to LA, Dallas, Boston to do jobs with Finch overseeing by phone/Skype than making everything based in NYC for convenience's sake.
Anyways, besides my nit pick this week, I thought this was a fun episode. Paige Turco was good as the Fixer and had good chemistry with Caviezel. I liked the scene where Reese broke out of the cuffs and injected the goon with the Sodium Pentathol.
I didn't really get the B plot with Carter's little side investigation. Plus, she got that retired cop killed as well.
Loved the last scene with Finch talking to that CEO.

Anybody know where the scene toward the end in the Club (or restaurant) was filmed? The one with the ornate woodwork and ceilings.

DJaryia, while I don't think it was explicitly explained, I'd assume that the computer only spits out NYC numbers because they used it to stop terrorist attacks there. They didn't really explain if it was a nationwide thing or just local.

I doubt there is a definitive answer, so I assume it spits out every kind of number and they just weed out who they can help by proximity. They've shown giant lists of numbers and there is no way they are helping them all.

It's part of what appears to be developing into a larger series arc. The old kitchen knife that killed the old mob enforcer guy is the piece of evidence that was stolen from the evidence locker when Reese was running with that robbery crew of war vets a couple episodes ago.

We feel that this perhaps the best new show dof the season. Of course, our opinion only. And love the fact that we will perhaps see the Fixer's character later on in the season.

I really hope we see some continuity with the story where the people he's been saving early in Season 1 recur throughout the series (the fixer and the judge at the top of that list).

^ Not being stock market savvy, I had to google the answer myself.

That was the only flaw in the plot. In the real world, the SEC would be all over Finch for insider trading if he bought an 8% stake in a public company and then dumped it a week later, right before it became public that their new drug kills people.
