What happened to Artificial Eye's PINA blu-ray release?
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Wim Wender's blu-ray of PINA by Artifcial Eye (UK) suppose to have been released in September? It was once available via Amazon.uk but now is listed as "currently unavailable". Why was this pulled from stock? Only the regular dvd is now available.
I believe the US 3D version gets a theatrical release come December.

The film was chosen to represent Germany in the 2011 Foreign Language Oscar race. Should it be nominated to Academy Awards, the price could be higher. Conspiracy therory?

Yeah, they decided to cancel it and release it later with the 3D version, but it may be some issue that it hasn't been issued in any other English speaking country yet. Germany and France both have Blu-rays but not English friendly. I'd expect the Artificial Eye to be released sometime when the US IFC disc is released, in 2012. I just hope the AE or the IFC ports over the European extras...
