I read Jamie S. Rich's DVD review of Agora at http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=45001 and...

It's just a co-incidence that I'm typing this nearly a day to the posting of the review, but I thought anyone reading this might like to know the following:

The movie is available on a region-free Blu-ray disc from Holland, apparently the only country where it's available in HD not to region-lock it. The audio is DTS-HD 5.1, and all the extras on the American DVD are present.

One potential major snag is that a great deal of the making-of feature is spoken in Spanish (with a bit of Italian) and as the disc is from Holland, the only subtitles offered are in Dutch. The same goes for the commentary: in Spanish, with Dutch subtitles.

Picture quality is astonishing, to say the least, but I spotted some flickering in a few scenes.

Oh, the disc has some trailers at the beginning that are in PAL, and they caused my cheapo Magnavox player to go haywire, outputting just the forced Dutch subtitles (which are only forced on the trailers) with a green line. The same happens with the director's introduction.
