Glad they replay these things. Watched Breaking Bad finale and forgot to set the DVR for this.

Another good episode. Brody has the potential of being one of the most interesting characters on TV in awhile. I'm curious to see if he bought anything else at the hardware store, or just ended up with the rug he used for his prayers.

After seeing Taken, and now the scene with the girls "applying" for the... position with the prince guy, I wonder if that is actually something that happens. I guess with enough money and moral ambiguity, you can pretty much buy whatever you want...

I'd very much be shocked if it didn't happen. From the various books and articles I've read over the years, some of these loaded middle eastern princes seem to play by decidedly non-islamic rules when it comes to sex, booze & drugs.

Re: Homeland -- "Grace" -- 10/09/11

Money is power, and power corrupts. These guys have enough money to buy anything they want, and live in a country and a culture where women are treated like cattle. That sort of thing definitely happens.

Good follow up episode. Now I feel like the show is intentionally trying to make us think he's turned, what with the prayer mat and all. And because of that I think they'll reveal towards the end that he hasn't turned.

Really good follow up. Damian Lewis is such a good character actor. I'm glad he was cast as Brody as he brings such a dynamic presence. The flashbacks were really good and added depth to his character.

That was a pretty interesting revelation at the end with the Morning Muslim prayer. I'm also guessing that is one of the many clues to the viewer on whether he's turned or not. I'm sure there will be more episodes that will make you sympathetic to him.

I liked the subplot with Carrie's asset finding out the Prince has a relationship with the terrorist who is linked with Brody. I'm sure that whole operation going to blow up in Carrie's face getting the asset killed.

Surprised to see Michael McKean in this, although his part was small.

BTW, I'm glad this show was developed as a Premium cable drama. I think it would have felt really watered down if this aired on something like FOX...even though they do produce this show.

Supermallet: I think you're probably right about Brody not being a terrorist. Or maybe, by blatantly making it look like Brody has turned, the producers expect the viewers to be smart and think that he hasn't turned, when in reality he has! Anyway, should make for some great drama towards the end of the season!

The opening credit sequence was awful.

Another great episode, as the hour goes by so quick. I like that the show is making you think he is a terrorist, sort of a reverse psychology as he may not be? Or maybe he is?

I would say that has there been anything said as to how many seasons they plan for this? Because this seems like a one season type of show, unless they plan to shift to another plot for the next season?

I also thought it was interesting when it was revealed that Carrie's sister was the one illegally prescribing the medication for her. She also said their father has the same illness.

The Israeli show that this series is based on lasted only 1 season.

I think this premise has enough material to last 2 seasons as most. Alot of it depends on what happens with Brody. But, I think the other character "Abu Nazir" could help give more storyline.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not sure how long they could stretch the question of whether or not he has turned, it would seem like this story line has a one season arc to it. If they tease the question too long I would think the show will become frustrating, but once they reveal the truth it seems like that completes the story.

I thought the same thing about Lost though, I didn't see how that could go past one season. Maybe they could treat it like the Wire which branched out and and changed the perspective from season to season.

Either way, I love the show, and Winters is perfect in this role.

Idea for next season: Brody is behind bars, but will help Carrie find the next terrorist in a "Hannibal Lector" capacity.

Found out my friend who works on the show was personally responsible for the opening credits. Guess I'll keep my thoughts on them to myself from now on.

They didn't have opening credits for the pilot, did they? I was kind of surprised to see them come out of nowhere.

It was weird, but I'd rather judge the show. Don't really care about a theme song or opening etc.

I can certainly see this being a 1-season show, but I don't think it has to be. I don't see how this can't function just as "24" did, with new stories coming each season. It'll all depend on the ratings.

I can confirm that in israel they are going to show the 2nd season very soon... it's a very good show back here, very emotionaly touching since we have soldiers who are still POW in Gaza.

That's interesting. I thought the Israeli show was only 1 season.

Watched this episode last night - really good stuff. I never really considered myself a Mandy Patinkin fan, but he's pretty good in this.
