I'd like to see Peter come back soon. The 2 episodes have been cool so far, but I'm honestly a little frustrated that we had 3 years of character development and now we're in re-set mode in this "Orange" universe. I read a few comments on a few other boards with some being alot more negative about this re-set.

I am basically fast-forwarding through these episodes without Peter. The only reason he hasn't shown up yet is budgetary reasons, as Fox was only willing to bring the show back ultra-cheap and needed to save money somewhere.

Happen to have a source to back that up? When the show was renewed for S4 Pinker said in an interview that They also add that they were not asked to produce the show at a reduced budget, either. Source. Peter being absent is a calculated storyline decision and the writers have been amazing until now so I'm willing to go along with what they do.

I have to say if you're skipping any non-Peter parts then you're missing out on a damn fine program and I actually feels sorry for you. Last week's episode was particularly compelling and insightful, but I'm sure you got a lot out of the last 60 seconds when Peter was asking Walter to help him.

As Jackson said himself, Peter has to be gone long enough for the cliffhanger to not be a copout and for us to see how all the characters are acting without him. If you actually watched the show you'd be able to pick up on the subtle (and not so subtle) nuances and seeing how Peter affected everybody's lives. Personally I don't have a problem with the storyline and am very interested as to how Peter is re-introduced and it seems like they're taking a step with the ending that happened tonight.

Speaking of tonight, damn, I felt sick when we heard Walter hammering away trying to lobotomise himself.

Peter wasn't present in 13 episodes last season. Nobody complained about those.

Now that Kyle Chandler got an Emmy, it's past time to make a case for John Noble.

This episode had a very "season 1/ X-files" vibe. I wonder how intentional that was given this "orange" reset. So now we know for sure both Peter's died, both on our side. So everything in the alt-verse plays out the same minus Walter saving Peter.

Seriously. People are insane.

Walter giving himself a lobotomy was easily one of the most disturbing things I've seen on a network show.

I love getting the bits and pieces of the alternate history. I wonder how they are going to handle Peter slamming back into this world where he never did all of the things we've already seen him do. Or he remembers but no one else does.

Sounds almost too ambitious for a TV show but if anyone can pull it off, it's the Fringe team.

I thought, good; Olivia can stop him before he does anything. Then you hear, "Tink. Tink." Shudder!!

It makes you feel sorry for him though since he must have been really out there to drive himself (no pun intended) to do a self lobotomy.

Glad Peter the Peter story line seem to be kicking up a notch.

They answered a lot of questions, or the main question, in this episode. Most should be pretty clear now for everybody.

And yeah, I got a headache trying to think how they are going to handle Peter coming back.

right after, Walter looks up, blood in his eye from the attempted lobotomy..."you mean I'm not crazy?"
