LCD Televion Recommendations?

I'm finally going to have some money to spend at the end of the year for an upgraded TV. My 12 year old Sharp 27" regular TV is still going strong - altho a corner of the screen is starting to "pink out".

I'm interested in getting either a 42" or 46" inch LCD TV. Can anyone recommend a brand to buy that will last me a good long time without going out within a year or so?

Panasonic looks like it gets some good reviews.

No offense, but this is really a topic for the DVD & Home Theater Gear forum.

And yeah, I think it is time for a new TV. :)
