I'll get the non-bare bones Transformers when it comes out in a few months, not getting this one.

I already pre-ordered Airplane!, PTA, and The Naked Gun for store pick-up. There was no option to do that for Nirvana-Live at the Paramount, but I'll pick that up too if my store has it on Sunday.

Stripes was a casualty of 12 blus and 2 cds in 3 weeks. It's a movie that I like, but don't love, so I'll probably pick it up when it's not an exclusive or maybe in Dec or Jan, when those months appear to be back to what I consider normal for media spending.

I guess it's being confirmed by members on blu-ray.com that Stripes is the extended cut only on blu. Don't know about the banners yet.

I'll eventually rent Transformers and Ben Hur. I'd consider buying Ben Hur if it was just the discs, but I'm always annoyed by overpriced "ultimate editions" that are a bunch of cardboard tchotchkes.
