Anyone here read these books? They are a group of sci-fi books telling the back story to the universe of the War hammer 40000 books. You don't really have to have read any of the Warhammer 40000 to enjoy these especially since they are my favorite series based in the universe. The best part about these books is that they really combine a bunch of different of concepts and mixes them together equally. They are thought provoking, action packed, epic(And I truly mean epic, destroying an entire planet in a matter of minutes with a poison gas is one of the many examples.), dark, a very interesting tragic hero, and very very bloody. I highly recommend checking out the series.

The only problem is that each book is written by a different author so some of the books aren't as compelling or interesting as the others.
