From Shout! Factory:

Found on Amazon via TV Shows on DVD, there will be a November release for Captain America and its sequel Captain America II: Death Too Soon.

These are the two 1979 TV movies starring the otherwise unknown Reb Brown, put out to keep the previously announced 90s telefilm company (it’s due out later this month), along with the big-budget Marvel movie that was so successful this summer. Shout! Factory is releasing, so the package should be nice, if nothing else — they’re a quality label. (Although the one-disc, two movie setup suggests a bare-bones release.) They’re also the ones who have been putting out the Marvel Knights Animation motion comic DVDs.

I already have these pre-ordered. They are very much a product of their time, but I enjoyed them nonetheless.

I'm a Marvel whore, so even though I've never seen these, I will own them!

Yeah, I made it through them but got a lot of cleaning done while watching.

It was hilarious seeing Christopher Lee.

I know this is off topic but if this can get a release, then why the hell can't the old live-action Spider-man series be released?

I'd rather have the Dr. Strange movie staring Peter Hooten.

I'll buy this once whatever ridiculously high price they're initially sold at, which will be ironic since it won't actually sell, hence dropping down to clearance prices. I will then get in before it goes OOP and the prices shoot up in the used market.

If we could get those and the Japanese series I'd be happy.

I've got a bootleg copy of the US pilot movie of Spider-Man on VHS somewhere in my mother's house. I don't know if I could ever watch it with a straight face.

They should all be there. The challenge is finding them.

I watched these a few weeks back and enjoyed them, but I like to watch cheesy crap when I'm in the right mood for it.

What exactly does that press release mean when they say "otherwise UNKNOWN Reb Brown"?!?!?!

I'd say it's safe to assume that MST3K fans know who he is... :D

I am not a MST3K fan, but I am more familiar with him from the two movies he made with Lou Ferrigino, and his guest shot on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Maybe I should rephrase that.

MST3K and Spoony fans should know who he is! :)
