Amazon shipped and charged me for a wishlist item I never ordered...

A few days ago I added 2 DVD's to my Amazon wishlist, M.A.S.K. the Complete Series and Ninja Turtles Season 9 (I know... I'm a dork). I walk out my door today and find a package from Amazon... it's the M.A.S.K. set. I check my credit card online and find out it's been charged $60. I check my email and have a message from Amazon detailing the purchase, but when I follow the link they provide, it goes to a page that says I've made no orders within the last 30 days. Basically, I never bought this item.

I call them and explain this, but they pretty much treat me like an idiot who accidentally ordered something. There is a record of the transaction on their end, even though the link they sent me says otherwise. They sent me a shipping label to return the item, but I just think this whole thing is bizarre.

Has anyone else ever had this happen?

Have you checked the children?

We've traced the order... it's coming from inside the house

Except for it being charged to your credit card, it almost sounds like one of those instances where a family member/friend peeked at your wishlist and decided to buy you something from it. Is it still on your wishlist?

Didn't you hear? God granted everyone one wish yesterday. I chose the ability to fly. If you weren't available, they just picked an item off your Amazon wishlist.

It's Amazon. Delivered by USPS. I'm returning it, so there's no harm done, I just thought it was odd.

Yep, it's still on there. And I never send my wishlist to anybody. I keep it for reference and to watch for items to go on sale, so I know someone else didn't buy it.

Now that's just depressing.
