A roadside Dunkin’ Donuts in New Jersey was apparently peddling more than just jam-filled treats when police busted an “overweight” employee for prostituting herself from the shop while on her shift. And according to police reports, the employee had been offering sexual services on and off for the past three years.
CNN reports on the six-week long police operation dubbed “Extra Sugar”:
Melissa Redmond, an overnight worker at a Dunkin’ Donuts shop on U.S. Route 46 in Rockaway, was arrested because she was offering sexual services for money, according to Detective Sgt. Kyle Schwarzmann of the Rockaway Borough Police Department.
The original anonymous tip came in early June and police started surveillance on Redmond, 29, soon after, according to Schwarzmann.
The major break in the investigation occurred after an undercover officer, or “John” went to the shop and spoke with Redmond, Schwarzmann said. The officer reported that during their initial meeting he was offered sexual services for money, he said.
The undercover officer met Redmond again around 3 a.m. on July 27 and was given a list of prices for what she had to offer, Schwarzmann said. Redmond took the money she was offered and was arrested, he said.
She was “forthcoming about everything,” according to Schwarzmann.
…
Redmond, who faces a prostitution-related disorderly person charge, was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court on August 10.
The franchise owner of the Dunkin’ Donuts shop has reportedly put Redmond on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

"I ordered jelly, not glazed!"
Seriously, it's a good thing the article mentioned that she was overweight twice.

No thanks, I'll just take a warm donut instead.

I shall await Deputy Dave's input before inserting mine in the jelly.

I wonder how much money they spend to catch this "criminal".

It was "overnight" the second time. ;)
This story reminded me of a scene from 1984's "The Wild Life," a semisequel to "Fast Times at Ridgemont High." Lea Thompson's character, Anita, was a high school girl employed in a doughnut shop. She had the hots for a police officer and they were doing it in the back room of the shop when a customer came in. She comes out all covered in powdered sugar. Later on, when her ex-boyfriend (played by Eric Stoltz) comes in, another employee offers him a maple long john in a truly double-entendred moment. :D

Oh my, it's amazing how your eyes will see what they want to see sometimes. I suppose my indignation is slightly less justified now. :)

They really only needed one night to bust the woman but because it was a doughnut shop the cops stretched the "operation" out for six weeks.

no concrete pics of her, but i'm going to guess GUILTY!
Why does anyone take the time to call the police and give an anonymous tip for this kind of thing?
From watching TV reality shows on vice police in Vegas, it is amazing how perfectly the vice squad needs things to go. Need to give money, need to have money taken, need to have it verbally agreed (and on tape) that the money is in exchange for sex, and not something else.
If I were an overweight, overnight ho, I think it would be pretty easy to arrange these types of things without a price list.

When you go to Dunkin' Donuts, your diet isn't the only thing getting blown.

Ehh, she's a pig, but if I was up late and needed a donut and some coffee I'd let her jack me off. What's the harm? For the sake of the customers I hope she washed her hands before returning to work.
BTW, this chick was pretty brazen to think she could get away with anything illegal at a donut shop. The cops have got those places covered.

Daaaamn, no way I would pay for a Dunkin Doughnut or her.
I don't think that's her. I was also looking for a pic and found that one, but it says it's from Santa Fe County, NM. Didn't this take place in New Jersey?
And as mentioned above the mugshot of "Melissa Robinson" above is a girl from New Mexico, not New Jersey. Both have "New" in their name but they really are different states.

damn, that one on the left got the shit kicked out of her, and she was arrested. Either that or her face smashed into the steering wheel.
