Re: Entourage -- "Out with a Bang" -- 7/31/11
I'm enjoying it, so far. I think it's definitely better than much of last season. I'm hoping that next week Sloan is already gone to NY and it's over and finally freaking over.
The Dice thing... ehhh, okay, we'll see where it goes. I love what's going on with Ari. What I'm really looking forward to is him partying with the boys and dating and it looks like they're headed that way. Vince even said "let's go hit the bar" so it looks like his sobriety won't totally pull the show out of its fun roots.
So, I'm optimistic that this'll be a decent season, I just wish they'd have gone with 12 episodes. I don't understand these mini-seasons that seem to be becoming the norm.. I think Hung is 10 episodes per season, The Walking Dead was only 6!! Episodes (which I LOVED) was only 6! Now the final season of Entourage is only 8 episodes. What on earth is happening to my shows? They already make us wait a year or longer between seasons and now the seasons are shrinking. I grew up with 22 episodes a year of whatever show I liked and only a couple months of summer between the seasons.

I wanted to reach through the screen and punch Dice in his hickory dickory dock. Moron. He deserves to live in his tiny little apartment. Hopefully the management team will set him straight.
I really need to try this tequila. I'm tired of seeing it. (fucking product placement!)
I totally missed the Christian Slater cameo.
Much more funny this week. Hopefully next week continues the trend.

I was giving this series another chance because it is the last season, but the glimmer of hope I had from the opener of finally eliminating the painfully awful Sloan and tequila commercial story lines has been just as quickly dashed. With the exception of Ari, what total garbage this series has become.

Yup certainly different than earlier seasons, but I'm liking this season.

Jamie Lyn Sigler (in character) needs to come back begging to get back with Turtle after the way she dumped him. That's who he deserves.

Yeah, 40 seconds after stating "I just don't count my chickens before they're hatched", he wants to walk from the show in demand of better money. WTF? They can't make him THAT stupid, can they - especially after getting fucked over a lot in the past? High testing scores doesn't mean the studio can't live without it. They've got plenty of shows in testing and thousands that have been pitched t othem. Plus, no matter how good it is - it can still be cancelled due to poor ratings.
Ok, Turtle's clothes were toast and didn't have much to choose from. He couldn't just wear the t-shirt without the Knicks jersey and hat? He would look a lot less stupid. Or better yet, go spend $50 on new clothes for the day.
Sloan is gone, but I'm sure we'll see her back at some point. Ugh.

Now that he's skinnier, he looks like he's 12 years old.
When Dice approached Drama about pulling a power play, I groaned. I really don't want to see him fuck something else up.
Ari ruining a waiter's acting career. At least she's not screwing around with him.

I thought it was pretty funny. Seeing Ari and Lloyd together was nostalgic, I have to agree with other posters last week. It's odd seeing Mrs. Ari date, what did Ari ever do to deserve that? Work too much?

He adds, "I intend to fight vigorously in defense of the years of hard work and dedication I've spent making Johnny Bananas a household name, and the purpose of this lawsuit is aimed at protecting the integrity of my brand."

I'll admit, as a fan of the Challenge franchise, that I know who he is and my first thought in hearing "Johnny's Bananas" on Entourage was to think of the guy on MTV. But that doesn't mean he deserves anything...if he had MTV "officially" refer to him as Johnny Bananas in their promotional material and on the show, instead of just having a couple castmates call him that at times, maybe he'd have a slight shot.
