New Blu-ray player - help needed

Hi all -

My current blu-ray player in my movie room has stopped sending a signal and will not play certain movies, even after an update. I guess I'm in the market for a new one.

I'm looking to spend somewhere between $100-$150 (or a little more if it's actually worth it.) Any suggestions? I project my images through an HD ceiling mounted projector. It doesn't do 3D, but should I get the 3D function just in case?
