I want to like this show, but in the face of Nikita, it just comes off lacking.
They should try something avant garde, like having just Perabo's ass and Peter Gallagher's eyebrows act out scenes. Those are the two best parts of the show to me.

If you compare this show to Nikia or Alias or Bond, you're going to be disappointed.
This show is much more grounded in reality. Yes, it has the trappings of a TV show reality, but Annie's not going to start turning her car into an airplane, or killing dozens of bad guys with her kung fu dance moves.
On any other spy show, if they had been captured like Annie, they would've met the leader of some secret organization, unraveled their schemes, and blown up the headquarters before heading back home. Instead, we get an interesting story about two people caught and in danger and how they deal with getting out.
I'm really liking the addition of Reva and hope she keeps coming back. It was interesting to watch how differently she reacted to the situation and how level headed and resourceful Annie was in comparison.

I thought this episode was really good.
I liked the survival aspect of it with Annie and Reva working together to stay alive. It kind of reminded me of a female version of the movie The Edge. Annie's suvival skills were impressive and I liked how she really used her brains, especially the scene where she tried to bond with the Belarus soliders to get their guard down.
I also like Reva. She and Annie had a good dynamic with each other. But, since she's obviously more of a tech person, I don't expect to see her in the field again anytime soon.
The scene with Danielle going to the British embassy and interacting with the black guy was amusing. But, Danielle is such a useless character even though I know they want Annie to have some sort of normal life outside the CIA.

What happened to the helicopter? Where did Jai get the motorcycles since it appeared they were in the middle of no where? How did they get from Belaruss to Poland? And, that they just happened to stumble on Annie and Reva just as the Secret Police were closing in does stretch the imagination a bit.
I would have written it so the potato farmers, being incensed by the search, figured a way to help her either by contacting an Embassy or her contacting Langley. Then the other parts fall into place easier.

I finally got around to seeing this ep yesterday, and I liked this one. Would've liked to see some type of payback to the secret police who crossed the border and kidnapped them.
Although they didn't explain how Jai & Co. got the motorcycles (which didn't bother me), they did explain the rest. Annie and Reva didn't go back to Poland, as that was where Annie thought the secret police would first be looking. So, she did the more unexpected thing and went to the Ukraine. As Annie said in the show, when they jumped into the river and crossed, they were in the Ukraine where Jai & Co. picked them up. At the end of the episode Annie was asking Augie how he knew to send Jai to the Ukraine border, and Augie said that he knew Annie and she will always do the unexpected, which he anticipated.
