....unfortunately...I know which friend will want to see this. I fucking hate how I know she'll want me to go w/ her. Unless she's paying (just like she did w/ Bad Teacher) ain't no way I'm putting down money for this.

Someone please tell Jeff Lynne to stop allowing Sandler to use his songs in his craptastic trailers.

That looks fricken horrific. I like Sandler sometimes but seriously this just looks awful and that trailer didn't even make me laugh once. Not that other movies that he's been in are masterpieces either but at least stuff like Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Big Daddy, Mr. Deeds, and etc. are decent enough for just goofy comedies.

She would have to take me to a bar beforehand (on her of course) and get me tanked for me to see this giant piece of shit.

I actually got some entertainment out of Grown Ups (it was free on Starz) but this positively dreadful.

No shit. I remember a time when Jeff Lynne wouldn't let any movies use his stuff or it was a super pain in the ass to get one of his songs. I remember reading that he was begged by Paul Thomas Anderson to use "Livin' Thing" in Boogie Nights and even then, Lynne insisted on pre-screening the movie before approval.

Now he licenses the same 3 fucking songs to anything and everything. Don't Bring Me Down, Mr. Blue Sky, & Evil Woman are everywhere...movies, trailers, commercials, etc. My theory is that he simply hates those three songs nowadays and just doesn't care what he gives them to.

And regarding the trailer...not a fucking chuckle in it.

God help me, but I laughed quite a bit at the trailer and would be open to the possiblity of watching the complete film. I have a fondness for Sandler's "female" voice.

Re: Jack and Jill (11/11/11) Adam Sandler playing his twin sister

A few chuckles, but it looks pretty bad. I'm a fan of Sandler though, so I'll pick this up when it hits the $5 bin to keep my collection complete. I just wish he'd do more dramas, since he's really got a knack for them.

Not a fan of Sandler, seems like a cool guy though. None of his previous films ever seemed as funny to me in comparison to what everyone else I knew thought of them.

Geez, I feel dumber for having watched only the trailer. I couldn't imagine sitting through that whole movie. I don't know how the fuck people do it.

Re: Jack and Jill (11/11/11) Adam Sandler playing his twin sister

And I thought Zookeeper looked bad. Holy shit. Does Sandler actually read these scripts before signing on to film them, or does he simply cash the checks to the bank and waits until the fans stop showing up on opening night?

Are they actually making Sandler films that Awesom-o came up with in that episode of South Park?

Re: Jack and Jill (11/11/11) Adam Sandler playing his twin sister

I regret that that made me laugh. Twice. And it happened again on second viewing of the trailer.

I'm calling it: Sandler's first Oscar nomination and win.

If this was another Eddie Murphy travesty, he would be getting killed here.

It looks like one of the fake films from Funny People.

Yeah, because he's getting so much praise here.
