Miramax MUST-HAVE DVDs.

i'm so disappointed with the the recent re-releases by Echo or Liongates or whatever of Miramax DVDs....i have been collecting DVDs for a decade and i still don't have every single Miramax DVD i want....

please help me complete my Miramax collection by sharing what you think is a must-have Miramax DVD.

thanks!

Re: Miramax MUST-HAVE DVDs.

Mine are:
Clerks X - 10th Anniversary Edition
Beatles - A Hard Day's Night
Kill Bill 1 and 2
The Crow

Maybe throw in:
Copland since I really like this movie.

Re: Miramax MUST-HAVE DVDs.

The Echo Bridge releases are ghastly. The library should have gone to Anchor Bay.

Re: Miramax MUST-HAVE DVDs.

The Three Colors Trilogy was a great release, I thought.

Criterion plans on releasing them soon, though; it's quite possible their releases could surpass the Miramax ones...

Re: Miramax MUST-HAVE DVDs.

Velvet Goldmine is probably the only Miramax title from their back catalogue which didn't get a proper SE...and we will probably never see a SE of that unless Criterion decides to.

more to the list:

Trainspotting

Re: Miramax MUST-HAVE DVDs.

I trust Lionsgate to generally do a decent job on their Blu-ray releases so I figured just making a list of titles licensed to Echo Bridge that have a ~2.39:1 aspect ratio and/or extras of some sort might be useful (since Echo Bridge seemingly can't be trusted to even get the most basic of aspects like correct aspect ratio and native audio track on their releases).

That way one can skim the list for titles they consider must haves and know the reason they appear below is due to having an anamorphic ~2.39:1 aspect ratio and/or extras on the previous DVD release that Echo Bridge may or may not manage to retain on a future release.

Becoming Jane (2.39:1 & extras)
Below (Extras)
Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi, The (highly flawed release but still might be better in some regards to what Echo Bridge comes up with)
Blindness (Extras)
Cursed (2.39:1, unrated cut & extras)
Daddy & Them (Extras)
Darkness (2.39:1, unrated cut & extras)
Dirty Pretty Things (Extras)
Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The (Extras)
Down to You (Extras)
Duplex (Extras)
Equilibrium (2.39:1 & extras)
Fresh (Extras)
Full Frontal (Extras)
Gerry (2.39:1 & extras)
Grifters, The (Extras)
Hole, The (2.39:1 & extras)
Human Stain, The (2.39:1 & extras)
I Inside, The (2.39:1)
Impostor (Director's cut & extras)
Jersey Girl (2.39:1 & extras)
Lookout, The (2.39:1 & extras)
Music of the Heart (Extras)
My Boss's Daughter (Extras)
Night Listener, The (Extras)
O (Extras)
Ordinary Decent Criminal (2.39:1)
People I Know (Extras)
Proof (2.39:1 & extras)
Rabbit-Proof Fence (2.39:1 & extras)
Renaissance (2.39:1 & extras)
She's So Lovely (2.39:1 & extras)
Shipping News, The (2.39:1 & extras)
Supercop (Dragon Dynasty release)
Texas Rangers (2.39:1 & extras)
Tsotsi (2.39:1 & extras)
Two Bits (2.39:1)
Waking Up in Reno (Extras)
Welcome to Sarajevo (2.39:1 & extras)
Yards, The (2.39:1, director's cut & extras)
